2017 Lone Star ADN Hopefuls

Published

Hi there!!!! So I have been reading the "Hopefuls" forums from previous years and decided that it is time to start our own. I believe that this is a great way to support each other and compare our HESI scores. So here we come, all of the Lone Star students who are planning on applying for the ADN program please share your scores. I am applying to Kingwood for the spring semester 2017. My HESI score is 7.45 and I am a little bit worried that this could be not enough. :sorry:

yes i think cy-fair does the block curriculum i thought block curriculum would be harder hope not lol but thank you!

Hi I am a nursing student hopeful. I got an A in English and looks like I'm headed for an A in A&P I have not taken a practice HESI yet. I understand the program is competitive What would my grade need to be in order to definitely be accepted into the program?

Keep A's in those classes. Score b or above in all sections of hesi and you should be good. As in the sections would be preferable as many applicants in fall season.

Best best of luck :)

Congrats to all who got in!! I was so afraid I wouldn't get accepted with my score so I just waited. BAD decision! I should have just went for it. I will forever live with the regret í ½í¸„ Anywho, I made a post for Lone Star 2017 Fall Hopefuls if anyone is interested who is reading this and planning to apply next round í ½í¸Š

So yesterday (12/5/16) was the deadline to have everything completed and uploaded into Castle Branch. Do you think LSC will send us a email/letter stating that we are accepted to replace the email that we were conditionally accepted?

Cy-fair has already been sending out letters concerning completed requirements and registration. I wouldnt worry too much. If CB says you are complete, then you should be fine.

@paomich95 How did someone get in the program with a lower score than yours at Cyfair? Did you apply for Kingwood as your first choice? Are you sure your score is 7.3?

I had a quick question! So does lonestar ADN program just look at English 1 API and your hesi?? Or does your overall gpa, science Gpa, and all the other. BSN class count as well??? (Meaning math, history, etc.)

@varango02 Just the 3 scores (higher grade of a&p1/2, English, & Hesi score

If you do not mind me asking what was your score??? @erivee

@JamesOakes, ADN, RN do you think having an overall score of a 7.3 is enough to get in to one any of the Lonestar ADN programs?
