Hi there!!!! So I have been reading the "Hopefuls" forums from previous years and decided that it is time to start our own. I believe that this is a great way to support each other and compare our HESI scores. So here we come, all of the Lone Star students who are planning on applying for the ADN program please share your scores. I am applying to Kingwood for the spring semester 2017. My HESI score is 7.45 and I am a little bit worried that this could be not enough.
This may be a dumb question but my situation has me confused as can be! I was not immune to MUMPS but to the other two M & R and I still have to restart the series, THIS LATE!We must be immune by December 5th?!
Hi zullyzoo,
Similar situation with me here. I was immuned to the measle, mumps, but not rubella. :/ I had to do the 2-series hot withing 30 days of each other. On top of that, they asked me to prove the original shots after I turned the proof of the new shots. I didn't have it and had to go get another titer again for the mmr. Because of this I was delayed last nursing program and was dropped out. Had to reapply again for this term. So my advice, DO NOT DELAY ..even another day. Get those shots done ASAP! I was only 3 late from the deadine of getting my 2nd mmr shot and there was no exception. Hope this help you !
So they asked you for the original shots? Whats happens if u dnt have it
Yes they did. After I uploaded the completed proof of the MMR shots up to castlebranch, they requested that I upload proof of my original MMR. I was unable to and even if I try, I couldn't look for it (long story). Anyhow, I e-mailed the Cy-Fair nursing advisor and told her my situation. She told me that if I did not have the original proof then I would have to get another Titer for the MMR showing I was immune to it. I just had it done last week and till need to upload it to castle branch. Hopefully this is all they need. I finished the 2nd shot in sept. so I guess it was already in my system and ok to get another titer..I don't know. Like I said, do it as soon as possible. There is a reason they give us so much time to complete the requirements. I thought I have 1 month left and was doing everything early still but given everything takes a few series of shots or need time to receive results , uploads. All add up.
lol I am not saying that... That is what's happening to me Just uploaded your proof and see. hopefully it won't happen to you. It's probably me, I have been leaping through hoops to get this done since last year. lol. And I heard from nursing students that getting in to the nursing program was the easy part....eekkk
I think the same thing may be happening to me I am having to do my MMR series which I will be done in November but they want another titer and I would not be able to get another titer until December 8th which is after the due date of everything so I don't know what is going to happen
I wish you best of luck !

Did they say you have to be immune? I think if you submit proof that you have restarted you should be fine. And the immunizations are only two, a month apart from each other. You'll still be done before beginning the semester if you get the first one soon!
