Could someone please help me!!!! I was thinking of buying the Lippincott's Review for NCLEX-RN for my PalmPilot....is this a good resource or is there a better one out there. What NCLEX study book/software/guide did you use?
Thanks all!

Just got Saunders last week. Spend your money there. So far I've only browsed through it (hey, it's summer vacation!) but I've found three questions that are almost word for word the same as ones that have been on my school exams.
That's the one I've seen most highly recommended on these boards, too.
Deana
P.S.
Anyone notice that there are SIXTY of us on this board right now? WOW..I'm not the only one with insomnia tonight! :chuckle

I agree with Suzanne and the others about Saunders, that's what I'm using ..... their rationales are great and I like the way the book is set up.
Nope Deana, I'm up too! Doing some practice questions but taking breaks here and there. I used to be up all hours of the night studying for exams or doing papers .... now I just don't know what to do with myself!

Too funny..that's exactly what I'm doing!
I hate to say it out loud (or type it), but now that the first couple of weeks of summer have passed, I'm (GASP!) bored!
And I thought I was the ONLY one silly enough to wish it was time for school to start!!!! What fun is summer? All you do is work and put back money so you don't have to work when clinicals start so when you get done with clinicals you can work!!! (Sounds like a postive feedback loop to me!)
BTW...thanks to all for the replies...I want to get Saunders but I can't find it for my palm. Maybe I'll get the Lippincott's for palm and the Saunders hard copy...that should give me enough to do for a while!

Um, yeah, I would think so :chuckle Saunders has 4000 practice questions. I don't think they make it for Palm, but it does come with a disk for your PC.
And about summer..honestly, I would have gladly kept going over the summer and graduated a few months earlier! I'm ready to get this show on the road!
Mostly, I think it's that we're all so used to such a frantic pace, now that it's slowed down so much, I know I'm kind of wandering around feeling like I'm forgetting to do something!
Oh well, if the darned weather ever clears up here, I'm going to get my butt outside and enjoy it!

I have both Lippincott's and Saunders on my desktop and pocket PC. I use both and I like both. I didn't like Saunders during my Peds rotation though because unlike Lippincott's, it did not break down each section for review. Saunders just had one big "Child Health" section, whereas Lippincott's broke Child Health down into Integumentary, etc., so that I can review for each section.
Another one that I like to review during classes is NCLEX-RN Questions & Answers made Incredibly Easy!, also by Lippincott. It has 3500 questions and it breaks it down by section, even Peds, so that I can use it to review whatever section I'm in.
I primarily used Saunders. During the last 2 weeks before I took the NCLEX I also used the Mosby CAT, which was good practice for how the NCLEX was, as it was computer adaptive. I took the NCLEX 2 years ago though, so I'm not sure if they still have the Mosby CAT, but I would definitely recommend looking into it.
Good luck to you!
