Hello guys, I am planning to apply to Linfield for spring 2019 entry. I was wondering if anyone is planning to apply and what your educational background, such as, prereq GPA, science GPA, and healthcare experience.

littlebuntingdoesnursing- I hope so. My husband and I were just discussing logistics if I am indeed accepted. We have 3 kiddos and no family in the area so we will have to master the art of mom as a full time student and dad working. Trying to not get my hopes up too high just because I saw that there were 25 on the waitlist for the 44 slots (depending on how many decline), but one of my friends who is a nurse and my mom both said it was still great news that I was selected.... so now more waiting begins. I HATE the waiting! I will keep the board posted with the end results. If I do get a spot, I am from the Salem area as well and would love to carpool.

I understand your feelings. I got waitlisted the first time I applied to nursing school (not at Linfield, but still) and it's not a great feeling. I have my fingers crossed for you though and am at least optimistic you'll hopefully be near the top of the list! Great to see another Salem-ite too.

Hey all. I created a Facebook page this morning. If you search for "Linfield Nursing Spring 2019 Cohort", it should come up unless I royally messed something up. My first name starts with a C (I think it's okay to say that) just in case you want confirmation it's the right group.

Hey guys. I just got my letter of acceptance in the mail but will be declining. I got in to PCC and classes start on Monday and would feel HORRIBLE leaving the program now. Plus, everyone in my cohort is pretty awesome as well as the faculty. That will open up a spot for any of you on the waitlist! Congrats to everyone accepted and waitlisted :)

I sadly did not get in, I'm not super surprised as I wasn't done with all the prerequisites and I've been catering my classes to fit PCC/OHSU's application requirements. I will keep trying though! Super happy for all of you that got in :)

I am super anxious about it, but if I haven't had a response by Wednesday I will check in again. I feel like a teen full of angst right now... I just want to know if I get a spot or not! Ugh.

A friend of mine got a response from Mindy today (nothing to do with the waitlist) so seems shes starting to respond to emails today!

I have been out of town and haven't been able to post an update on here! I was unfortunately waitlisted and she said I was number 14 which was very surprising to me because someone who seemed to have similar stats as me did get in. I asked Mindy if something was wrong with my application and she told me it was a very competitive year, but I was definitely a competitive candidate. I am staying on the waitlist but will pursuing other options in and out of state. This was my first times seriously applying to a program and will be my first degree. Congrats to all who got in and good luck to everyone on the waitlist. Whatever happens, happens. Don't give up!

Awesome, I'd feel really optimistic if I were you. We already know at least one spot opened up just from this forum, I'm sure another one will too.

It is so close I can taste it! Chatted with Mindy via email earlier this week and she said they will look at numbers on Nov. 2nd to see how many waitlist peeps can get spots. I am hoping that we get our letters early next week. She responded to me that she couldn't tell me for sure if I had a spot (even though I am #2 on the list), but she was VERY optimistic... so.... (secretly I am totally doing the happy dance over here!).
