Lifestyle/ what to expect

Hey, i was just wondering what kind of lifestyle a NP lives? whats your day to day at the hospital or clinic? how are you finanically? what kind of house do you own, or car? If this offends anyone sorry, but im just wondering. :)

IMKosher, if you was not going to anwser the question then why comment. If she wants to know what kind of car and house NPs have she has every right to ask that question. what is it to you? gosh yall can be so harsh on here and just beats around the bush it's not a rhetorical question!

If you had a problem with the question she is asking then you shouldn't have replied to this thread.We don't need no negativity on here because it sounds as if you are irritated with what she's asking I just don't understand why people get offended at those types of questions. And I live in a apartment; i'm not driving right now. See that was not hard to answer sheesh!

I don't think that salary has a lot to do with lifestyle.People with big fancy houses and snazzy cars usually owe at lot at the bank.

Rent a house in Bangkok. Also have a Yamaha scooter there. Rent apartment in Santa Fe, NM. Waiting to buy land and settle somewhere but since I'm an international gypsy who know what's next. Own a 2011 GMC 1500 extended cab 4 X 4 pickup with bull bumper, running boards, tailgate extension, bed liner, and roll up bed cover. Options include scoped rifle, throwing tomahawk, and custom Dozier knife. As a PMHNP I work with inpatients, outpatients, psychosomatic psychiatry, and bariatric service. My boss is a child prodigy shrink with photographic memory and lot's of smarts. I've trained in Zen Shiatsu, medical qigong, Taiji, Environmental medicine, Asian Nutrition, Chi Nei Tsang, Tuina, Hapkido, Reiki, and shamanism with Q'ero Indians and Shipibo shamans in Peru as well as with a medical anthropologist/psychologist. Also study psychotherapy with famous psychologist/shaman. My lifestyle? Been in riots, military takeovers, government uprisings; have had to hunker down in diplomatic areas. Have flown over Everest, laughed with monks and holy men everywhere, have seen bodies cremated at riverside, treated rickshaw kids in Bangladesh, tried to catch a 6 foot monitor lizard in my front yard in Bangkok, have had over 30 types of massage, traveled to over 16 countries, have been naked...never mind, have talked with interesting people all over the place...some still hiding out, have done clinical overseas, have SCUBA dived in Thailand, have seen singing lepers on the side of the road but that group eventually fell apart, have conned Bangkok police who were trying to con me, have seen things that well, never mind. Yes, I have a little money left. This what you want?

Comfortable. Not extravagant but it's "good."

whats your day to day at the hospital or clinic?

Mon - Fri = 0700 early hospital rounds then clinic work by 0900.

Out by 5pm or 6.

Moonlight every other weekend with a different group. Inpatient care only. $$ is very good here.

how are you finanically?

You want net worth or the number of $$ in the bank account?

Well, you get neither of those. I will tell you that financially speaking I'm happy, satisfied. ;)

what kind of house do you own, or car?

A very modest, average home in the 'burbs that we rent out.

My wife and I also have an apartment we rent in the city, we're more of city mice.

3 cars, 2 german and 1 japanese.

2 motorcycles, italian.

2 road bikes, american.

1 skateboard, american.

and a couple of leather loafers.

Amen to that. There are way too many variables there, since some people always live below their means and others live above regardless of how much money they have.
