i wanted to start a thread for applicants for 2011 lichson, ill like to hear your process and just be there for all and go through the wait together. :clown: i know that hard parts are over with just the gruesome part is here WAITING! hope there some ppl out there going through the same thing as i

Good Day Folks,

I’ve decided that on Tuesday July 5th at 6pm I will have the petition ready for anyone interested to sign. You will have to contact me via email at [email protected] for the location. If for some reason you can make it for that day, I can make other arrangements for you.

I am hoping that our signatures will at least let SUNY Downstate know that we do not agree with their decision.

I guess it is hard to understand. LICHSON has NOT been merged with SUNY! LICHSON is now owned by a private/public corporation. You can make a petetion for SUNY Downstate but nada is going to happen because you are misdirecting it. **** is the new person in charge over LICHSON and she is the person who you have to direct your petetion to. See note:

Yes I am, and I believe other people in this forum are aware of what you have mentioned above. That is exactly where the petition is going and to others involved in the merger. If LICHSON has merged with SUNY Downstate then there will be no need for the petition and there will be applicants selected by now. Because of careless/thoughtless planning of the merger LICHSON is in jeopardy and is freezing admissions.

Some say that sending them the petition may not have an effect on the decision but I believe that saying how we feel through the petition will be demonstrate on how we feel about this last minute decision.

I am not attacking you or anything but I am standing strong behind what I believe. Closed mouths don't get fed and keeping quiet is not going to help the situation.

Ok so I called ****** office to day and got some woman on the phone. She basically told me that all the applicants who have applied for the fall 2011 nursing class will be recieving something in the mail about if you are acceped or not. I said to her i thought we were suppose to hget a call by the 30th which is today and havent recieved a call or a letter. She said to be patient and wait.. I still dont get it. This is the only school i applied to for nursing cuz of certain reason. I am down for the petition but if u saying licht is owned by a private company then who are we petitioning too..And i think we NEED ANSWERS ASAPPPPPP

In case people are confused to where the petition is going to be forwarded to it is going to:

The Chief Financial Officer of Downstate

The Presidents of Downstate and LICH

NYS Department of Education

Governor Cuomo

Hopefully if I can get the info to the company that owns LICHSON

All copies of petition will be sent via certified mail.

Hi all,

I am sorry I was gone for a while. I had some very important things to take care of. Anyway, I have called New York State Board of Education and they have agreed with me that what the school is doing is unacceptable and gave me a site where I can fill out a complaint against the school through board of education complaint department and they have reasurred me that they will take this matter very seriously. I do believe them because I once believe it or not ( but i have no reason to lie to you) fired president of High School through board of education. So I highly suggest that everybody fill out this complaint paper as well and send it to the address stated. You have to print out the form and send it by mail. Mine will be mailed out on Tuesday. The more people send it as well the better the results. Obviously. So here is the link.
