hi all !!
i wanted to start a thread for applicants for 2011 lichson, ill like to hear your process and just be there for all and go through the wait together. i know that hard parts are over with just the gruesome part is here WAITING! hope there some ppl out there going through the same thing as i
I took my child to see ENT specialist on 134 Atlantic Av. this week, which belongs to Lich, now Downstate, who told me that he school was able to fix their papers and will be open soon; and the friend-applicant called me today with the same news.. I wonder if it is true or just a rumor... ANYBODY hear the same....?
I didn't hear it...plus I'm still waiting for my Application $$$...we shall see!
I just have to say, LICHSON is not a crap school. What happened was unfortunate and has nothing to do with the teachers or even the dean. It is all in the hands of the presidents etc.
The teachers are nice and so is the dean. They are as much victims to this situation as everyone else.
I started school this semester and I like it. Unless you want your hand held through every test, lab, and clinical, you won't bash the school.
Granted, it's a more laissez-faire approach, but guess what, when you finish school and become nurses, you won't have a teacher there telling you what to do. It's called developing your critical skills and critical thinking.
Other schools may be more advanced, but it doesn't mean it's better. School are judged upon their teachers and the willingness of the students to do their work as well.
In the end, we will all graduate and we will all be nurses, no matter how grand or awful the school was.
