me too. I will be calling and Raise Hell with everybody at SUNY too. Just wait

SUNY Farmingdale is the SUNY connection for LICHSON. Farmingdale offers 2 year degrees and it was decided that was the better fit. Good Luck

I just have to say, LICHSON is not a crap school. What happened was unfortunate and has nothing to do with the teachers or even the dean. It is all in the hands of the presidents etc.

The teachers are nice and so is the dean. They are as much victims to this situation as everyone else.

I started school this semester and I like it. Unless you want your hand held through every test, lab, and clinical, you won't bash the school.

Granted, it's a more laissez-faire approach, but guess what, when you finish school and become nurses, you won't have a teacher there telling you what to do. It's called developing your critical skills and critical thinking.

Other schools may be more advanced, but it doesn't mean it's better. School are judged upon their teachers and the willingness of the students to do their work as well.

In the end, we will all graduate and we will all be nurses, no matter how grand or awful the school was.

Hey VegaStar88, that's great to hear! I got the letter stating they'll "Hold on" to my app for when they RE-OPEN they'll contact me to see if I'm still interested. I'm sure it is a good school, I pray they still have the rumored opening of January 2012...(we'll see)...

I hope they will open in January as well. I wouldn't discourage from applying to this school. As long as you do the work, you will succeed and gain the knowledge you need to succeed.
