Lichson 2011 applicants

hi all !!

i wanted to start a thread for applicants for 2011 lichson, ill like to hear your process and just be there for all and go through the wait together. :clown: i know that hard parts are over with just the gruesome part is here WAITING! hope there some ppl out there going through the same thing as i

ugh its just so frustrating! i feel like there has been so many stories going on since we all applied....we waited on how long just to get a call, then were told 2 weeks we would get a response, and now this. downstate has such a great name for themselves, i dont understand how all of a sudden now they are telling lichson this at this point...its june!

i guess we just need to be more patient than we have already been and just wait. i thought id be receiving some sort of letter this week be it acceptance or rejection letter.

That's all u can do! Unless u have something in writing or a call from someone @ LICH, then everything is just basically hear say! We have all been waiting to hear from LICH, and until we actually do hear from them we should just continue to wait! Its is too late to apply for any other program, so let's just keep faith and wait. If u call, I call, or anybody else calls we are not gonna get any straight answers.

Unfortunately there is a lot of unknowns right now - even for the staff at LICH! Hold on we should know soon either way -- I sure hope Downstate does the right thing not only for the applicants but for the present students as well.

yes i hope they do make the right decision for us future students, present students, as well as the staff. were all praying for out future now. i just hope it turns out well, so far my experience with lichsons staff has been good they have been kind and understanding. i think that they pretty much know as much as we do, and their hopeing for the best too, it seems that downstate is causing all the trouble.

What did they tell u? That there will NOT be a fall 2011 class?

Also what about the students who are in thier second yar.. idk something doesnt seem right

I asked the same & students currently there are grandfathered in. that's how it's usually handled in these situations.

Ok guys, I went there and I spoke to someone. It is true. There would be no fall students due to the merger, but is not really finalized yet. There was a meeting in the hospital this morning about this matter and that is what was said. So far there are no students for fall 2011. So in the next week or so we will no if there is really any fall class. :mad:
