One of the key concepts of libertarianism is the Non Aggression Principle. This is the idea that no individual should be forced, coerced, conned or stolen from by anybody, including government.

I'll jump in with a softball question before the warnings and points start flying. How are essential govt functions paid for if nobody is forced to pay taxes? And I'm specifically refering to functions that cannot easily be privitized such as defense and infrastructure.

Well THANK GOD we have the government paying for our roads. I mean, they are always in perfect condition and never have ANY ISSUES AT ALL! The government is the BEST! *sarcastic thumbs up here*

That is the Statists biggest argument. Who will build the roads?!?!?! Silly. We'd privatize the roads just like everything else, in the libertarian Utopia! :)

What happens if your road is no longer profitable? Are there going to be toll booths on every road? Defense? Where is OP? Where do I sign up for this? Is cracklingkraken a libertarian in real life?

Yes, but only if the young aren't coerced and freely agree to it.

Tolerance, strong sense of fair play, an appreciation for economic liberty as well as social liberty. Intolerance to coercion, fraud, bullying, centralized planning, collectivism.
