Honestly, this bit of idiocy is just the tip of the iceberg for this particular idiot:
""Working her way up from struggling single mother to registered nurse and Dare County Commissioner, Beverly rejects the liberal notions of victim-hood and government dependency "
Her response to student led protests against the being used for target practice for psychos:
"So the students that were eating tide pods last week run your school this week?"
She is a peach.
The first paragraph was so inflammatory I almost posted an indignant reply and a pointed suggestion that you take it to The Break Room-- glad there are some more level-headed members around here to clear things up . . .
Lol, sorry peeps. I thought my sarcasm was clear, but with several members not seeing it, I must have done a bad job of it.
To be clear, I've always been proud of the work all nurses (from LPNs to RNs to advance practice) do to get their credentials, so it irks me to no end when others who have NOT earned the title attempt to deceive others into believing they have. And I've read MANY similar comments online to the ones I posted when anyone dares to call politicians out on their bad behavior, so I figured it would look very familiar to everyone else here.
Sorry for the confusion!
As a lawmaker, her income is way higher than most nurses will ever see. Why pretend to be one?
Actually not true. According to Ballotpedia North Carolina General Assembly the salary for a state legislator is $13,951 plus $104 per diem for those days at the capital when the legislature is in session. This 2015 article in the News & Observer places the annual salary of most legislators between $30,000 and $40,000
