hi everyone! i'm holli. i took boards on june 13th and passed with 75 questions. i am starting work on july 18th at the only hospital i ever wanted to work for. it is a great pediatric facility! i will be on the (post-op) surgical floor, and we also have all of the endocrine kids. also, they just added an epilepsy monitoring unit, for overnight monitoring and for the brain mapping they are doing. i expressed an interest in that, so they will cross-train me in that unit as well. i can't wait to get started!
so, tell me about you...

i am a new baby-rn as of one day...i took my nclex on monday. i will be starting new grad orientation next week and working on the surgical floor where i completed part of my nurse externship. ive worked in various areas as a cna (neuro, micu, home health, and general med floors) but i am still a bit nervous about moving up the ladder even though i know i can do it. i know i am going to hit up the forum for lots of advice because i am one for recieving and giving advice....cant wait to start next week...hasnt really sunk in yet that i am finally a nurse...but hey a dream come true.

it doesn't feel real yet at all! i passed 7/2. i will be working in med/surg. all my experience is in psych. i think the change will be good for me to help me build a good foundation but i am a little nervous about being outside of my comfort zone.
I'm Katie, just graduated from a BSN program in MA, took my boards on 7/8 and found out I passed on 7/10
As I live in the Boston area, jobs are incredibly tight right now...I have a job prospect or two, but nothing in writing yet. So, just playing the waiting game, relaxing & letting the good news sink in!

Hi Everyone, I'm Kim from Northeast PA and I will be finally starting my LPN course in 9/09 - long way off but I can finally, at 46, go to school for a career I've wanted for so long. I did have to wait for the children to be old enough to get to school on their own while leaving early for the days I will be doing clinical. I can't wait!!!

I quit after 8 yrs of nursing in geratics. I took care of my dying father and that was it. I have never cared to go back.
