  1. I passed my Certification today- I was so nervous and anxious. I will recommend studying" CCM Certification Made Easy: Your guide to passing the Certified Case Manager Exam" by Deanna Cooper Gillingham [h=1][/h]
  2. It is true that if you're a bedside nurse trying to explain to a patient the basics about any insurance let alone the new affordable care act will be difficult and time consuming. Likewise, it behooves bedside nurses to know at least the basics and if not use your resources such as Inpt nurse case nanager or the social worker. Healthcare is at a point now where cost effectiveness is crucial. Yes, the insurance are seeking more money and so are the hospitals- but nurses are still part of the institution and as such should contribute in lowering cost, which evenatually trickles down to the patients. Safe discharge can be accomplished once all discipline are onboard. Your notation goes to billing and for every service performed the insurance and patients are billed- So, maybe you will think twice before you agree to the acetaminophen tab and encourage to patient to mbulate instead of having to take the heparin shot- Yes, everyone is inuntated with med dispensing and notation, I know that but working with the nursing assistant and PT can make work easier and more cost effective. BTW, I am an inpatient nurse case manager -

  6. brother i completely agree and understand, here is my story: praise god from whom all blessings flow yesterday i found out that i passed the nclex, the computer shut down at 75 questions. pay close attention, these were my kaplan scores in the questions trainer: q1 47% q2 48% q3 52% q4 57% q5 60% q6 54% q7 47% now if these were not discouraging scores, then i don't know what. but i recruited the prayers of all who i came in contact with, and pleaded from them to pray in behalf. by the way i had a tons of sata of which i scored 7% on the kaplan q bank test. i know is easier said than done, but i give you this testimony to reassure you that god's plan will prevail regardless of the obstacles or mountains or discouragement you might face. praise him for he is worthy to be praised :saint::saint::saint:: saint::saint::saint:
