hi everyone! i'm holli. i took boards on june 13th and passed with 75 questions. i am starting work on july 18th at the only hospital i ever wanted to work for. it is a great pediatric facility! i will be on the (post-op) surgical floor, and we also have all of the endocrine kids. also, they just added an epilepsy monitoring unit, for overnight monitoring and for the brain mapping they are doing. i expressed an interest in that, so they will cross-train me in that unit as well. i can't wait to get started!
so, tell me about you...
holli, rn

hello!! i am erika, and i will gradute from nursing school on dec 13, 2007. i am still working hard to pass every exam and also getting experience during my clinical hours.
i am very excited about being a nurse soon, i love this career but...i am a little bit scared, because it is a challenging profession and i hope i can be a great nurse one day.
I'm Dana, I work on a trauma.post-surgical floor in a level 1 trauma center. I graduated May 2006 and passed my boards. I am so glad those are over with. Good luck to anyone taking the boards soon or interviewing for jobs. Get a lot of reat the night before and do deep breathing if you get nervous. And remember we've all been there or will be there eventually.
Hi, Holly. I'm Bonnie and I'm having trouble. I enrolled in a at home studies program to get my rn associates degree and I can't comprehend the material. I have read and read it and the more I read the more confused I get. There has got to be an easier way to learn this. I also work full time as an LPN to pay for this program that I am struggling with. Do you have any suggestions that could help me learn?
Sincerely,
Bonnie:lol2:
dearest bonnie,
i have a few questions to ask you first.
1. is this an accredited school associated with a college or just a plain correspondence school, that claims to give you a degree, online.
2. how do you do clinicals? i remember years ago there was a correspondence school and i belive it was accredited and it was called regents (maybe under a different name now). they did clinicals, but not sure of the details.
3.if you are doing a online course is there always a teacher available to help you?
4. how far along are you in the program. are you doing prerequisites now and a reg. nursing program later?
5. is it an excellerated program or reg class length program.

Hi All! I'm Lindsey. I graduated in 2005 and have had my license since but just started working at the beginning of this year due to having a baby! I work in the ER and also float to med-surg. I love it but it gets trying at times, especially when the doctors you work with hate new nurses!! Good luck to all that just took their boards!!
Hi, just a quick question, I am reading all these threads andyou passed with either 105, 75 or 8o question, is your test stopped when you passed a certain amount of questions, how many question are on the test. Also are you allowed to work as a nurse before you pass your NYCLEX, please dont think these are dumb questions.
