I believe that since the Biden inauguration, much of the world is breathing a small sigh of relief. I know I am. Yes, there are STILL the dissenters and non-believers and rebels, but for the most part, I think we are safer and headed for better times.
Was watching Dr Fauci on a TV news clip this morning. The man looks 10 years younger!! Like the wt of the nation and world has been shifted off his shoulders.
I can barely imagine the overwhelming psychological and emotional distress that man must have endured since the beginning of this pandemic and the disconnect with DJT. DJT. Such a professional and personal conflict. Yet he always remained the expert professional he is.
In past history, he'd have been beheaded by King Henry VIII or executed by Hitler for his dire cautionary warnings that were so contrary to DJT's.
JMHO, but the man deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for Health and this nation's highest civilian medals, the Presidential Medal of Freedom or Congressional Gold Medal.

Free country indeed but not necessarily a free discussion. This is a privately run forum with rules. You can not attack someone and say "you are beyond help" as personal attacks are not allowed. Civil discourse when we disagree rules here. (Sometimes)

We do need to lead by example and promote HONESTY, INTEGRITY, HONOR AND ACCOUNTABILITY. There is no room to tolerate sedition and insurrection in our republic. Yes, we can accept that Trump supporters are deceived and uninterested in facts or truth. We can also recognise that allowing a large political cult to spread unamerican ideology using lies and propaganda is a threat to our constitution.

I admit "sub-human" was the incorrect term, "inhuman" would have been better as he had said that Trump supporters seem "alien" to him. That is a dehumanizing statement and throughout history that type of thinking leads to dangerous consequences. I agree that fascism cannot be tolerated in this country, and that the insurrectionists must be held legally accountable for what they have done. We need to think carefully and react surgically towards his followers and not react out of anger in a knee jerk fashion.

Alien is not dehumanizing...it describes a foreigner or different way of thinking. Geesh
Yes...supporting lies, corruption and insurrection is not common in this country. Do you feel that some or any part of what is happening in the pursuit of justice for January 6 is one jerk or angry reaction rather than careful accountability?
Wish I had been able to simply talk to the person upset with my opinion. Just want things to be better than this for my grandson. I’m going away to visit the great beyond. I just found out I have the CA. Sorry to want better than what has been the great worry of who is who. Just want things done. Less talk, more action is my hope. So carry on and please make life great for him, meaning my grandson. Never wanted to argue but I really do not have faith in the US two party system.
