Published

Hello, everyone applying to Lehman's BSN/ABSN programs for Fall 2018!

I am currently working on my application and will very soon take HESI. I know application period does not start until January 1, but I thought I would create a thread so we could get in touch and support each other on the way to (keeping fingers crossed!) being accepted!

Hi any of you taken microbiology at Lehman Who can offer any suggestions or tips for the final with S.Walc I would appreciate it

I did decently this semester. Not as well as I have done in the past but I am not disappointed in my grades.

@CN101 congratulations you made it through your first semester! How hard would you rate the program from a 1-10? Are the professors very helpful?

Hi,

I have a really pressing question regarding admission to Lehman's program. The Nursing Department's site states that the HESI A2 can only be taken once, yet I believe that the undergrad. advisor mentioned to me in a previous conversation that a retake is possible for students who scored low in a particular area. Does anyone know if the exam can be taken again? If so, how do you go about scheduling a retake, since parametric doesn't show anymore available tests for Lehman.

Hello,

The level of rigor at Lehman's program is influenced by many aspects, including student's own resiliency, and level of commitment. Based on my own experience, my first semester was incredibly difficult, particularly with pathophysiology. Right now I am in med-surg, and it is also not an easy task. Particularly, my clinical instructor is a very tough one, so each clinical day is like a trial by fire. Needless to say I am "burnt"! if I have to rate it i'd rate it an 11! Nursing school at Lehman has been the most stressful and the most difficult thing I have ever undertaken. At times, well, many times, I ponder if I had made the right choice.

Thank you for replying! I’ve heard nursing school is hard overall. But you’ve rated Lehman a 11 really scares me. Not because I am not ready to work hard but because I am scared to give it my all and fail.

Btw, hang on there.. you made it this far which itself its an accomplishment. You will graduate just don’t give up.
