Hi I was told by the chair that they only look at your GPA, as long as you pass the HESI you are good to go. So they don't even pay attention to the grade on the test

Specializes in HealthCare.

Anyone here took HIN 269 already? If so, any advice?

by any chance do you know when the second orientation will be ?

CONGRATS to everyone that has been accepted into the program!

I am excited for you all that will begin the program soon! My first year was challenging, but also very rewarding. Ask questions, pick the brains of all those who have been in your shoes and try to enjoy what's left of your Summer (you're about to face some serious stuff soon). Let me know how I can be of any help.

hey has anyone heard any updates?

Please be aware of it. If your zoo meeting does not work on your computer, try it with your iPhone.

I could not be able to get in zoom meeting with meeting id a password for Both nur301 and nursing orientation with my computer. then, I struggled so much at day. one of what's up members helped me to access the orientation meeting with my phone.

Hi everyone, I'm new to here and trying to catch up what have been discussed.

First, CONGRATS to those who received their acceptance letter. Those who are still waiting, don't give up because I was almost giving up but eventually I got my acceptance letter on 7/9.

I'm a second degree student but I applied to the generic program because I was worried the chance getting into accelerated program. I don't know how to find out my cumulative GPA since I took classes from multiple schools and I got a Bachelor's degree plus an Associate's degree for taking all the prerequisites. My science GPA is around 3.6, HESI 82%, CT 830 as I remember.

However, I'm actually thinking about going to private schools since I've seen a lot of bad reviews of the nursing program through Allnurses and I met someone who was in the Lehman Nursing Program at the campus before COVID. He told me the program it's very disorganized and it's basically you have to depend on you own and do self-study a lot. He told me not coming to Lehman if I have other choice. What he said was scared me and I would love to know if it's true and hear more opinions about the program.

Could any graduated students or current students tell me more about the program? How do you feel about it? How are the professors? Are they good or do they want to help you to succeed? Does the program have good connections with well-known hospitals that they can place you in for clinicals? Does the program help you find a job after graduation or is it not a problem getting a job after graduating from Lehman Nursing?

@Buckhill @Amberrae @ILoveGreen @Up4a2ndDegree Sorry for @ you guys here, I've seen you are active and kind on this forum. Since you guys are current students or graduated students, I think you would have a better insight of the nursing program. Please share your thoughts or if you prefer to talk privately, since it might mention names etc, please PM me. I'll be highly appreciate you!

Btw, I'm accepted to Wagner College for their Accelerated Program and also Long Island University. I'm currently thinking about Wagner College at Staten Island because I've talked to some of their nursing students. All they said to me about their nursing program are only good things but the Tuition is really expensive since it's a private school (If anyone of you heard of the program at Wagner College, please share your thoughts with me as well.)

So, if Lehman it's still doable, I might still go with Lehman because it saves a lot of money. I know nursing programs are hard but I have to admit they are all doable because people do survive from it. Although some of the programs, people would be extremely stressed and struggling. My concern is that would l be stressed and overwhelmed a lot by some "extra" things from the program that are not supposed to occur to distract my nursing study?

Thank you for reading my long post!!
