Hi!
This thread is for people who plan to apply to the Lehman nursing program of accelerated (Summer 2020) or generic (Fall 2020) Wish you all the best of luck! Let's keep us all motivated!
Update:
I got my denial letter this morning
stats
science GPA:3.3
HESI:94.3
ct:820
they give you a reason for why you were denied. My reason was that I met the minimum but due to lack of space they are unable to accommodate me in the program. Good luck everyone who got in , you will all make amazing nurses !
I just saw that many people during 301 orientation were discussing expenses and cost... if anyone comes across any aid or scholarship programs especially involving pandemic aid or essential workers please share and I will do the same... I am an out of pocket second degree student so I'm on the hunt!!

Orientation is at 1pm and you won't get there packet bc it's not finished yet.
OMG! No way did she really did she say how it happened etc? That's great news hopefully they do indeed pick students from the waitlist and she can pull through with it.
Good Morning Everyone,
This message is for anyone whom might have answers, especially possibly the Class of 2020 and 2021 currently in the program whom might have first hand knowledge.
When we are completing our Clinicals it was made very clear lateness will not be tolerated but have you ever heard of students being excused possibly an hour or half hour earlier because of childcare issues? Is there any leniency? Our Clinicals are 7am-7pm I am pressed trying to find solutions that accommodate these long hours. At this point we still do not know if in person school will even exist in the Fall (more problematic) yes I am aware of the new DOE Distance Learning possibilities. At Lehman childcare begins at 7:30am ( ? ) and although things might have changed because of the pandemic I was previously informed school-aged services (I have two elementary boys) begin after 3pm. -- I am contacting them about this! I am hesitant to bring these concerns to the department as I do not want my personal situation to be counted against me.
I am determined to make this work! I am doing this basically alone, their father has passed, available family is more than 2,500 miles away. Any and all suggestions, ideas, rumors are welcomed with open and grateful ears. Feel free to PM me if you feel so inclined!
@Amberrae and @ILoveGreen -- sorry to @ you guys I just have seen you two on this forum and thought maybe you know of how other single mommies in the program have made it work.
Thank you for reading my LONG post !! ?

Each state BON sets minimum hours of clinical that are required to be eligible to take NCLEX. Each program may have additional hours, but may only excuse a small number. My local nursing school has essentially 2 extra clinical days beyond the required minimum, but the school only allows students to miss a total of 8 hours of clinical time per semester.
If you were asking about a one time urgent need, it may be granted. Every clinical? I highly doubt it.

You get into groups only after you receive acceptance. Blackboard, is where you will see the groups if you got in.
