  1. I just looked at my old health clearance form and looked up the one on the website. You guys don’t need the chest X-ray… just the blood work. But try calling the department tomorrow, hopefully they answer. I’m glad your insurance covers it. They usually don’t if you’re negative.
  2. We never had to do the ppd or chest x-rays.. it was the quantiferon test (through blood work) Even if you did the ppd or X-ray they’ll want the actual blood work. but try calling the department and see what they said (they are super hard to reach at times)
  3. Yes you are able to. Go to the person you want to message and there should be an envelope icon in their pg.
  4. Let me know if it works What to review _ CONVERSION FACTORS.pdf
  5. Most hospitals in the Bronx- Jacobi, monte (a few of them), ncb, Lincoln, st Barnabas and a few others they only have 1 in Manhattan and it’s St Luke’s (Mount siani)
  6. No that’s not true.. white shoes, impermeable & no laces
  7. Thank you, Youtube will be your best friend LOL. Some prof can’t teach so you’ll be self teaching a lot. the content is a lot quickly. You’ll have to take a med calculation test before starting.. practice your conversions (see attached) before hand. If you’re in the generic program it’s fundamentals, pathophysiology and humanistic nursing. I found funds a little difficult because it’s so broad, but from my understanding you will have a different teacher than my class did… for patho expect to Youtube and read on your own, there’s only one prof for that class and she does case studies which only touch some subjects, she does put voice recording up of the lecture. I Youtube a lot for that class (registerednurseRN and level up RN). Humanistic nursing is pretty simple, couple papers and exams I would say organize yourself and work on time management. 8. Don’t be surprised if they don’t confirm your email w/ your acceptance. They never did for me, I even followed up and never heard back. Then at the beginning of July they sent me the link for the student hall meeting LOL
  9. It will go to whatever email you put on your application.
  10. Hey it’ll be the same this, the BS part will just show if your degree is completed or not and the bottom one will show the courses.. but the avg should be the same .. this is what mine looks like
  11. No worries, any questions you guys may have I'll gladly answer.
  12. So for me, I used Youtube a lot LOL: -registerednursern (love her, takes a bit to get used to her accent but she's great!) -simplenursing -levelupRN (I also bought her flashcards for pharm, Medsurg, Peds and maternity) I bought there's notes from RNexplained on etsy.. I loved her notes because I rarely had time to make notes, its so much so quickly.
  13. Good luck everyone & don't worry if you don't hear back by the expected date... I was accepted mid June and I know people that didn't hear back until first few weeks of July.
  14. Hi, I just finished the generic program- here's a little rundown of what clinical are like First fall semester you'll have fundamentals: your clinical is once a week and it alternates between going to the hospital and simulation lab. (clinical is 12hrs [7am-7pm] sims is 9am-5pm) First Spring semester: you'll have medsrug and psych clinical - med surg clinical is same as funds (alternates between clinical and sims labs), then psych start sometime in march and its about 8 consecutive weeks (time is about 8am-3pm) Second fall semester: you'll have Peds/maternity. This clinical is every week; ~7weeks of Peds and ~7weeks of maternity (I heard they might add sims to those clinicals not sure) last semester (Spring): You'll have Medsurg 2 clinical, that's every week 7am-7p. Hope it helps. Clinical start date/time depends on the hospital, and clinical is usually from the beginning of the semester til about a week before finals
