Lawson State fall 2017

Hello everyone I would like to congratulate everyone who made it into this falls (2016) cohort. I will be applying to Lawsons fall 2017 cohort. I am creating this forum for those who are currently in the program that would like to encourage the next class and also let us know what to expect and for those applying to the 2017 cohort. Lets also post scores as we complete classes and take the ACT. So far I have taken bio 103, micro, eng, a&p 1, psych 1& 2, humanity, and will be taking a&p 2 and math 100 this miniterm and will be taking hps 103 and mth 186 in January. Oh and also remember no question is a dumb question unless you dont ask it!!!

Unlikely it will be the dosage calculation. You haven't been taught that stuff yet. Its probably just a conversions, fractions, decimals test

I agree it says only to test us for our competencies.

I was wondering the same. I got an email stating when my major changed I would receive more information.. am I suppose to change it somehow?

No I talked to admissions today and they said that once they hear from everyone they will change our majors and then we can register for the nursing classes.

The pre enrollment course... is that mandatory? It doesn't say on the card I received, but the one day it is available at my campus, I'm at the beach!

I called the school yesterday as well and luckily Dr. Marable answered she

Said that once the necessary info gets over to admissions our degree plans will change and we will be able to register, she said hopefully it will be next week and we will be able to register.

The sooner the better for me, I would like to let my employer know ASAP.

Does anyone know where we can find out what books we need? I would like to get a head start on some stuff.

Sometimes its listed in the screen for registration. I would wait until first day Because they change pretty often

It's so much that needs to be done. I'm really not wanting to wai until the very last minute to get started.

Usually when you register there is a link for books for that class. The instructors usually put the syllbua up before class, you could call and ask the nursing department or email your advisors. Also you can look the books up by class on the school's book store website.

Exactly! I would like to have my books before class begins.
