Lawson State fall 2017

Hi all I need is Biology 220 and would like to take the HPS 103 class and the Mat 186 but unable to attend during the day. Wish they had an online class for the Mat 186 class. Hopefully I can figure something out before Jan since I work full time

I have taken all of the required prerequisites.I have also taken the HPS 103 and I am currently enrolled in the math 186 class. I registered to take my ACT residual for Lawson for April 6, 2017.It's been a long time coming and I am believing God that 2017 is my year to be accepted into nursing school.

Hey how did you like the HPS 103 class ? Was it hard? And how are you liking the MTH 186 class? Is it hard? Im planning on taking both in the spring and I have decided to apply to the night/weekend program also. I will be taking my act on April 8th.

I really enjoyed HPS 103, it was very insightful. It gives you a preview of what Fundamentals of nursing will be like. I really enjoy MTH 186 as well. This class really prepares you for dosage calculations. So far I have an A in the class and I received an A in HPS as well. What materials are you using to study for the ACT?

I have the Princeton review(yellow black and grey) and the ACT prep guide (red white and yellow)...

I ordered The Real ACT red book too. I'm hoping it will be delivered by no later than Tuesday so I can get started studying.

Ikr I am just ready to be done with all this prep work lol.... but so worth it though... just wana get started already!!!:)

You're right! It is so worth it! I am ready to get on with it too. Are you going to apply to any other nursing programs? I will be applying to Jeff State as well as my second choice. I'm sad that Jeff State application deadline is before Lawson's. Either way I will be happy to get accepted to either one.

I will be applying to Lawson 1st Choice and Jeff state 2nd choice.... I work with several ppl that did not have a good experience with Jeff state nursing program but im applying anyway. Unlike them I don't have my degree yet lol... but i was going to apply to jeff states summer term next year but they canceled it during to the implementation of the new curriculum, I was so pissed...

I know that's right! I just hope and pray that the programs are ready to start this new curriculum and are still be able to produce great nurses. Either way I am ready to put in the work to become the best nurse that I can be. I just hate that we have to spend close to $100 just for taking ACT test!

Me too but I've heard great things about their night program not saying it's easy but they really work with you... typically that is the working, older, more mature crowd... I know its a bad apple in every bunch but for me the fewer the better... as much as i'd like to go at night I need all the help I can get plus the evening program has a slower pace. As for the ACT I just hope I do well because I havent taken it since high school.. I'm highly considering taking it Feb. 6th jus so I can have another chance to take it if im not happy with my score oh and f.y.I Lawson states on their site that they are only accepting ACT score from test taken on there campus only!!!!! You can call to be sure but thats what I read...Beware...

Same here. I haven't taken the ACT since high school as well. I hope I do well too. I have heard good things about Lawson nursing program as well. I did read that on Lawson's website about the ACT. Do you know how Lawson night program schedule goes? days, hours, clinical etc? I had two classmates to be accepted into the program , one for LPN and one for nursing, but I cannot get in touch with either of one of them. They told me that they would keep me updated but I only heard from one and that was at the beginning of the semester. She won't respond to my text messages . Maybe she lost her phone or something. I hope they are doing okay.
