LATTC FALL 2020/Spring 2021

Hello! I am starting this topic so we, who applied to LATTC, can keep each other informed. I have applied July 2 2018, and so far I have not started the program. When I went to go check where I was at on the waitlist, it looks like they only got to those who applied April/May 2018 for the cohort Fall 2020. That being said I believe I will be starting Spring 2021. Please comment any information you may have or when you applied ?

If you don't mind me asking, what email address are you guys receiving so I can keep a lookout? 

The email address is from the same address where it says you are ready to apply to the nursing program something like below:

"Congratulations!!

You have met the prerequisites and the GPA requirement for the....."

Hello, is anyone excited about the new vaccine.. LOL.. I’m thinking they’ll finally get a respond from DoH to start nursing sch.. Fingers crossed!

Update October 10, 2020.  I had a meeting by video with one of the counselors they are currently on applicants for October 19th.  She said not all will accept and they will know more in December.  I applied on 2/21/2019 and have 150 ahead of me.  So if all of those 150 accept I still have 3 semesters on top of the other 3 semesters.  .

Has anyone else heard anything? For September or October 2018 applicants?

So I emailed them. I didn’t get the answer I wanted but they got back to me LOL. So I asked “Will there be acceptances sent for Spring 2021? I applied September 2018 and was also wondering how far I am into the list.”  And they responded with “We are currently waiting for approval to admit a new cohort. Due to the pandemic wait times have been extended by 1-2 semesters. I was told that I won't have a response until after Christmas. You can check back around that time.” I received the response today in the morning.

Yes, they are on October 2018 currently, they have yet to contact everyone though.  So they are on Aug, Sept, Oct, 2018.  It seems like it takes them about 3 months of people on the waiting list to form a class.  Which makes sense because she said there are 150 ahead of me.  Covid held them up to a certain extent and they are somewhat behind.  She did encourage me that probably about 35 of the 50 they pulled from those months will decline, and the they will move further down the list I.e. months. So there still is a lot of waiting for those who applied in 2019.  I will share this though when I applied. The day of the TEAS there were only 7 people, one walked out.  I was the first finished so I was the first to finish the application.  So I didn’t get to see if all passed and applied.  I think a lot of people waited for March or maybe didn’t show because the weather was bad that day. IDK but the TEAS Test day when I took it not to many people were there.  So hopefully by the end of this year the people who Applied in 2019 will be moved into the program faster.

I’m asking about October 2018 because I am a September 2018 applicant. I still have not received anything from them other than “You’re still on the waitlist”. So did they skip my name? Make sense? Why are they on October when people from September have not been contacted. I made my appt to speak with them next week. I’ve been patiently waiting and hearing this makes it seem unfair for those on here who are still not contacted.

I think a lot of people are getting misinformed. And at this point we are playing telephone. Right now for sure people who applied in July 2018 and August 2018 have gotten an email. Those people have till November 13th to reply to the email. Right now they are still waiting to get word from the county Health to start a new cohort. Don’t let others scare you thinking they may have skipped you, especially when you are so close. Keep your hopes up ?

Oh for sure. That’s why I made an appointment to speak to them directly and not go based off what’s on this forum. Yes definitely keeping my hopes up!
