Hi there fellow school nurses,
So, I am seeking general information/advice. I'm hoping you guys can help.
Thinking of changing campuses (still staying at the high school level) within the same district.
Have any of you ever done this?! How did it go?!
How did your Principal take it or did you even give them a heads up?
Lookong forward to hearing from you guys!
Thank you & don't forget to wear pink tomorrow!

Whenever I get frisky and think the grass looks greener, Mr. Ruby Jane reminds me that the devil I know is better than the devil I don't.
I think this depends 100% on the relationship you have with the administrator. If you have a good relationship, maybe you talk to him/her. Not so good? Wait til the transfer goes through. And always know that the new principal is going to ask the old one (formally or informally) about you.

I've never changed campuses. If I did I'd only look forward.

I just put in for a transfer (required) to go from elem to MS or HS. No spots open currently. Principal asked are you unhappy, I just said I'm interested in taking care of older kids and currently there are no opening and who knows if one will open up.

Like others have said, I think it depends on why you want to switch. Good luck, either way! I'd absolutely switch campuses if I could stay in the district. (I'd rather little kids than MS).
Switching to older kids because I am spending most of my time with bathroom issues. Encopresis, can't be in a bathroom with others, usual kinder accident, student in wheelchair has lift, catherterization . . . Probably half of my visits are devoted to this.
I feel like it is a lot of work for one person at the current campus.
The other campus is smaller.
I do a lot of work from home and stay late frequently to.catch up.
Are those bad reasons???

I don't think any reasons are "bad'.
I was curious.
I hope you get it!
