Last semester motivation

Any tips for finding motivation in the last semester of an ADN program? I'm so ready to be done. I'm sure everybody has some level of "senioritis" and I'm not alone...

I have a 3.6 GPA, make the dean's list and work full time as a nurse technician at the hospital where I hope to work post-graduation, but the motivation is, shall we say, lacking this semester. The good grades are still there, but cramming the night before an exam and finishing essays minutes before they're due is not a good habit to have. I've always been a procrastinator, but this is more than the norm.

I need a kick in the pants! Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions!

I got nothing. I'm in your shoes as well. So tired. Feel like my brain has just stopped taking in information.

The only thing that motivated me was grad school (so I needed to keep up my grades) and I kept reminding myself that it's only 3 more months. I had worked so hard for 2 years, what's another 3 months? It didn't help that my school really tried to kill us in the last semester with heavy work load along with senior preceptorship.

Clarification: remember your terminology. "Itis" means "inflammation." I know "senioritis" is popular, but what you're experiencing is "seniorosis," the condition of being a senior. :)

PP is correct. Keep your eyes on the prize, which goes beyond mere graduation. You do not want to find yourself in a position of being noncompetitive for something in your unforseeable future because you slacked off now. When you graduate from college, you have the GPA you deserve. Be sure to deserve your best one.

Also, for those who are on the bubble, having just squeaked by last semester, a warning: people can, and do, flunk out at the end. Don't even think about slacking off now. As a matter of fact, recognize that this will be the most intense semester, harder, even. There's a good reason for that.

Thank you for the encouragement, everyone! Exactly what I needed :cheeky: I'm working ahead on an assignment right now.
