I know there are some other LCC people out here somewhere! Anyone applying for 2012 admission?
I just applied for 2 year, 3 year and 2nd Degree programs today. Cast a wide net and see what you catch theory there!
I am estimating my point totals for 2 year and 3 year at 68-69 and 2nd Degree at 58-59.
Good luck to everyone who has worked so hard to get this far! May we all keep our sanity while we wait on letters...
Yeah, I saw that they only give 5 points instead of 10 for out of district...that stinks I'm doing the Phlebotomy instead of CNA, but it's the same number of points (6). I'm hoping to make up more points with volunteer hours. The GPA is currently good...just have to make it through summer & fall. It's a killer schedule...but I won't be working, so school will be my full-time job until December.
My last day at work is in a few weeks. I still can't believe I'm not going to be sitting here at this desk I've sat at for the last 13 years. It still seems surreal!!!!
I had a friend get her letter today. SHe did not get in but it said the cut off was 141. I cant wait to get my letter.!!!
Oh wow...I sure do hope the cut off is 141. That means I'll definitely have enough points without even adding in my volunteer hours. Whew!!! I feel relieved Of course, that could be different in March when I'm eligible to apply...fingers crossed!
Here's hoping the rest of you receive your letters soon!!!

My previous credits are now "too old" to transfer (18 to 25 years old), so I have to re-take several classes.
This summer, I'm taking BIOL 201, PSYC 200, PFHW 163 & CHSE 143. In the fall, I'm taking BIOL 202, BIOL 203, BIOL 204, NURS 200, PSYC 250 & CHSE 144
Luckily, they're not making me re-take math since I've already completed Calculus. They won't give me "credit" for it since it's more than 2 years old, but they waived the math requirement since I took Algebra, Trig & Calculus way back when. Wish they'd do that for my sciences too!!!
Aryn, are you doing any medical-related courses like CNA (CHSE 110), Phlebotomy (CHSE 143/144) or EMT? I was a CNA back in the 90s, but again, it's "too old" to count on my application. I'm doing the Phlebotomy Technician certification because I'll get experience putting in IV lines. I see a lot of posts from new grads saying they don't feel confident inserting IV lines, so I feel like I'd get more out of that class than re-doing the CNA. Plus, I can volunteer at the Red Cross and get extra points for admission
