Hey guys, I have a question. I had an interview with LAC+USC and received a letter that I passed the oral exam. I read in the letter that they are going to contact me if positions open up. I am a new grad RN. Have you been in my situation? How long does it take until they call you? Do we have another interview after the oral interview or this is it? Please share your experience with me..thank you
the only thing i know for sure is 1st 2 weeks is sitting down in class, HR things, protocols, procedures etc etc. friday will be our last day of orientation-orientation. As far as floor preceptorship they didn't tell me anything specific because they're still figuring out what med/surg to place icu/ed people in the program. :)
Was the orientation 12 hour shifts also?
Ya, I did my fingerprints at commerce. I called to follow up and they said mine will take a little longer, at least 4 weeks. :/
did you leave your email address with them? I left mine, they never called to sched my physicals, they just emailed. I think that's faster because they're so busy calling people one by one. :)
Did everyone call the individual HR's to ask about current openings or wait for a recruiter to call you? I FINALLY got my civil service interview pass letter 9 weeks later!thanks
definitely call to ask for openings! county, they don't call people to/for interview for them. You have to let them know you're interested. good luck!
