LA county Relief nurse 2013

Hello all :) I applied to a relief nurse 1 position with LA county. I then got a letter in the mail sayng my application had been accepted and i was scheduled for the "examination." I took the test, passed the test, and got another letter in the mail about two months after my test saying I had passed and that my name will be placed in an "eligibility list." What now? Does any one know what happens after this process? Thank you all so much! any info is appreciated. I did get a call from Harbor UCLA and filled out some paper work and got scheduled for an interview. But is this test for all LA county nurse jobs? What has your experience been like? I also heard something about a verbal exam/ interview? what is that?

Did my live scan on 9/23 and still waiting for the physical. Don't know how much longer I'd have to wait...

Yikes! That feels like forever. I only did my live scan two weeks ago, and I'm already antsy waiting for a response. Do you mind if I ask at what hospital?

Same! It is going to drive me absolutely crazy if it takes an entire month for my live scan to clear. What unit will you be working on?

SugarNSass, not sure if it's true but I heard the Federal shut down may have delayed processing time since live scan is done through FBI. Just try enjoying your free time while waiting. There's not a lot we can do to expedite. If we end up in the same orientation, I'll look for you :)

I'm taking up my old hobby that got me through the agony of waiting to hear about getting in to nursing school: sewing! Hopefully we'll end up in the same orientation class. I'm so excited to get to work!

Six weeks and counting since Live Scan. Told by HR to keep waiting...

Are you calling HR or pre-employment? HR tells me to call pre-employment. Not that the message is any different, but still. Lol.

You meant the nursing resources office? Yes. I called everywhere they told me to call. Same answer. Lol

LOL. Don't be nervous. Just be patient, and try not to freak out. Focus on the part that is immediately ahead of you. What department are you interviewing with?

ER. I am so excited nervous and ready to finally have a job!!!
