Hello all :) I applied to a relief nurse 1 position with LA county. I then got a letter in the mail sayng my application had been accepted and i was scheduled for the "examination." I took the test, passed the test, and got another letter in the mail about two months after my test saying I had passed and that my name will be placed in an "eligibility list." What now? Does any one know what happens after this process? Thank you all so much! any info is appreciated. I did get a call from Harbor UCLA and filled out some paper work and got scheduled for an interview. But is this test for all LA county nurse jobs? What has your experience been like? I also heard something about a verbal exam/ interview? what is that?
In ER, yes.
FOR THOSE WHO ARE STILL WAITING FOR THEIR PHYSICAL APPT: Here's the number of LA Human Resources (323) 890-8382
where you can follow up the physical appointment. Usually, they will email you for the sched. There's no harm on trying to follow it up.
Or call maybe UCLA Employee Health if they have receive a notice of physical appointment: (310) 222-2360
I hope this would help everyone! Good luck! I am wishing everyone a good Christmas gift of being able to be part of UCLA before the
year ends! :)
I just got hired at Harbor-UCLA as well! Finished up my livescan yesterday, now waiting to here on the health screening. This is my first "real" nursing job out of school. It's been 7 months since I've graduated, and forever long since I've set foot in a hospital setting. I'm really nervous, but definitely excited! There is definitely hope for all the new grads! I was told by the nurse manager (who hired me) that she LOVES new grads!

We are all definitely in that same boat. That's what makes it hard to wait once we have the offer and Livescan going on! You'll do great in your interview. Good luck! Don't let our nerves rattle you. Who knows? We'll probably all see each other at the next orientation.
