KSU accelerated RN program Spring 2012

Published

Ok, so I've kind of looked around the site, but I can't find what I'm looking for. I applied to the KSU accelerated nursing program for the Spring of 2012. Our applications, TEAS score, etc. already had to be turned in by May 31st. I was curious to know about how long they take to get back to you to let you know if you made it to the second round. I've got a 3.2 GPA right now, and I graduate from UGA in December with a BS in Psychology. I made a 91.3% overall score on the TEAS V. Does anyone have any idea about my chances of getting in? I took the TEAS without even taking A&P at all, but I'm taking it right now. Any advice if I do make it to the second round? I am CPR/First Aid certified and I have my CNA. Also, if anybody needs any advice about the TEAS, I'd be happy to answer some questions and tell you what I thought of it.

Thanks!

Back to the waiting game......again, LOL:lol2:

The suspense is already killing me! I am so ready to find out.. but I do have to say that I felt like a thousand pounds had been lifted off of me after my interview was over! Good luck to all of us and i really hope letters do go out the week after the 29th!

Good luck to everyone! Hopefully we blew them away this week. Just to share: when I looked into the program and I saw it was in Jasper if you started in the Spring. All of that information was online. I went to my interview yesterday and found out it was now at Kennesaw. That made me very happy since I live close to KSU, and I thought I'd share in case any of you had the wrong information as well.

Well I'm going to ABAC and love my school as they come highly recommended as far as creating good nurses.

@UGAgal

yeah they have been teaching both accelerated program starts on the main campus since last fall. I was so happy when I found out that it was a permanent thing! I heard that students were complaining because the Rome and Jasper campuses didn't have all the supplies for lab. Anyway.....just waiting on that acceptance letter ;-D

I had no idea because the only info I had was from the website. I hadn't really been on the website since probably May, and up until that point it said it was Jasper for Spring students and Rome/Kennesaw for the Fall students. I was really excited when I found out otherwise! I'm waiting too! lol I hope we all get to see each other in January!

wow I've been on allnurses before the interview and never saw this thread! lol I read off from the 2009/2010 thread lol but It really helped prepare me for the past interview. Meanwhile, I'll go look for traditional applicants thread since this is mainly accelerated. Best Wishes to all oof you!

i'm a traditional applicant too :)

Great Jenn! Do you know how many that applied for the traditional and how many that were interviewed? and how many that will be accepted? lol I'm really curious about these things :bugeyes:

Traditional here too! The numbers Fran told me last week were referring to Traditional. 160 interviewed for 120 slots. Glad to hear from you all!

I just got a reply from F., she replied 560 applied for the traditional and 110 were interviewed for 80 slots!

I did my math with last week numbers and today's number and realized they standing firm on eliminating 30 applicants.
