KSU accelerated RN program Spring 2012

U.S.A. Georgia

Ok, so I've kind of looked around the site, but I can't find what I'm looking for. I applied to the KSU accelerated nursing program for the Spring of 2012. Our applications, TEAS score, etc. already had to be turned in by May 31st. I was curious to know about how long they take to get back to you to let you know if you made it to the second round. I've got a 3.2 GPA right now, and I graduate from UGA in December with a BS in Psychology. I made a 91.3% overall score on the TEAS V. Does anyone have any idea about my chances of getting in? I took the TEAS without even taking A&P at all, but I'm taking it right now. Any advice if I do make it to the second round? I am CPR/First Aid certified and I have my CNA. Also, if anybody needs any advice about the TEAS, I'd be happy to answer some questions and tell you what I thought of it.

Thanks!

I just signed up for my interview also :) I would LOVE to know how many people get in vs how many they interview.. so please post on here if you do email fran!

Hey Everyone,

I'm on the phone with a classmate of mine that is also going to be interviewing for the accelerated program. She emailed F this morning and F replied stating that 60 students were selected for an interview, and 40 will be admitted. Now I'm more nervous, I think I would have felt better not knowing....LOL!

Wow! Do you know how many applied?

No, I don't think she asked that. She just wanted to know what she was up against. I don't think it matters how many applied anyway, they are no longer "competing" for a spot at this point anyway.

Since we all have worked so hard to get to this point it would be kind of interesting to know. But you are correct, it doesn't matter at this point.

I'm nervous too! I was thinking more like 60 and 30 instead of 60 and 40 so I guess that's better than I expected. I just have to think to myself that I have to be better for the program than 20 people. It will be tough I'm sure, but I have to have faith that I can do that! I wish all of you luck and I really hope that I am sitting next to most of you in class come January! :)

Well everyone....it's about that time! I'm wishing everyone the best of luck during their interviews. Hopefully everyone has practiced and is ready for whatever questions are thrown their way. Be calm and confident by believing that you have already been accepted.:)

Congrats everyone who made it to/through the interview process. I hope everyone did well. I was just wondering if anyone knew how long before the final letters are mailed out. You guys let me know if you get your letter and get accepted!!! Good luck :nmbrn:

They said it would be about 3 weeks. Wishing everyone good luck and hoping we will all get to meet each other soon!

Wow...that's not that bad!

I emailed Fran earlier and she said the committee is meeting and making the decision on the 29th and the letters will be going out the following week. Also, just to share, I applied for the Traditional program, and the numbers she gave me for that were- 160 interviewing for 120 slots. Good luck to everybody! Back to waiting now...

I'm so nervous! My interview is in the morning! I hope all of you did well and had great experiences. :)
