I was hoping to let you know what I am doing to prepare for January and to see if there is anything else I need to prepare for. The acceptance letter stated that we will be receiving further information this December regarding Orientation and Health Record Information, but I am involved in a forum on allnurses.com and some of my fellow classmates are starting to prepare and I did not want to get behind. I have phone calls into some of the CPR contacts provided to go ahead and get my certification. I also just ordered the Calculate with Confidence book, as some students had mentioned they are starting to prepare. Also, I see that I must complete a Criminal Background Check & Drug test using Advantage, can you give me some more information on what Advantage is and where I can go to obtain? Since a drug test is involved, I assume this would need to be completed closer to when we start classes? I recently had a physical and was going to ask my physician to go ahead and complete the physical form for me. I just want to make sure that the correct form is listed as Health Forms under the clinical tab on the website. It is a 2 page document, 1st page to be completed by physician and 2nd page to be completed by me. moderator edit of name's Response Was Dani, I am so glad you contacted me. She may not even accept paperwork completed early. This is because the requirements are cyclical. If you do them early, you must renew them early. If you are in the middle of a clinical when this occurs, it could cause you to be ineligible to attend. I would appreciate it if you'd pass this information along to others. I would hold off on the badge, too. Who know? We may change the design and you'd have to order again!! I then replied Good morning, thank you! I will let everyone know. She wanted me to let everyone on here know that they do not want us starting the process. She said that moderator edit of name will be contacting us about the paperwork when it is time for us to begin processing and that she may not even accept paperwork completed early. I am so anxious. I had an APII lecture exam and Microbiology lecture exam (today and yesterday), this on top of the stress from waiting for the letters to come. I sure hope mine holds good news, as well as everyone else's Good luck everyone. Hope to see some of you these Spring.

Since we all have worked so hard to get to this point it would be kind of interesting to know. But you are correct, it doesn't matter at this point.

Congratulations everyone! I got my interview letter for the accelerated program on Tuesday!! So excited.....and nervous. Good luck!! :)

I just called and was told the interview letters have not gone out yet but should be mailed out soon!!!!!

Getting more and more nervous the closer to the end of July it gets Has anyone heard anything...have the letters gone out yet?

I emailed Fran like mid June to update her on my grades and she told me end of July for interviews.....I believe October is when we find out final decisions.

Hi UGAgal! I'm so glad you started a new thread. I've been keeping my eye out for anyone applying for Spring 2012. I applied to both accelerated and traditional. I graduated from KSU back in 2005. I am finishing up with my last 2 pre-reqs this fall (A&P II and Micro) Like you I had not taken any A&P before taking the TEAS, I got an 84 overall score. I'm not quite sure what my GPA is right now...graduated with a 3.45 and have made A's in Inorganic Chem, A&P I and Dev Psychology but B in Organic Chem. Last I spoke with Fran, we should receive letters in mail if we got an interview or not toward the end of July. This wait is killing me :-)
