I recently transferred to KBCC and will be taking the TEAS exam in December. I'm registered to take Microbiology and Applied Physical Sciences for Allied Health Careers this fall. I'd like to connect with others who are on the same path this semester with the intention to form a support/study group. Present students are welcome also.
@Keisha Parris Thank you so much, hun! I’m praying for all of us also.
Hey everyone!! I am also awaiting for my application status for Spring 2021 semester : ) I'm 19, in my 3rd semester at KBCC. I took my TEAS on 1/7/21 and got a 75.4 proficient (Science section really brought my grade down- do not second guess yourself LOL). Glad to hear others are also in the same boat as me. Super nervous, hope you all are doing well and receive good news!! Lmk if ya'll get accepted, we should def help each other out.
Just now, Starsha said:@novasuu . I took mines in December. We won’t find out if we got accepted two weeks from now. I’m so anxious all I’m hoping is for the best. We should start a group chat if we all get accepted .
We really should have one !! Would be nice to have familiarity since COVID limits student interaction nowadays : (
@novasuu I agree with you about the limits of student interaction during this pandemic. I've been fortunate when it comes to connecting to others since both of my professors encouraged our class to network. I'm hoping that the momentum carries over to nursing because I've heard study groups are essential.
@Nawkole I heard from previous students from last semester in the program that their clinical instructor told them that for the Spring semester that we will be going to clinicals. They were measuring students for N95 mask for the Spring. I hope we do go on clinicals sites to get that hands on experience.
Thats awesome! I wasn't aware they stopped in person clinical for the fall. I thought they were going once a week in person and everything else was online. I am so ready to embark on this nursing journey. I've been taking my pre and corequisites since 2018. Im so ready. I checked my vaccine titters, got CPR certified... Hahaha, I just need them to send that letter to buy my uniform, register for classes and get the flu shot. I. AM. READY. TO. GO! LOL
