KBCC Spring 2021 KINGSBOROUGH COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I recently transferred to KBCC and will be taking the TEAS exam in December. I'm registered to take Microbiology and Applied Physical Sciences for Allied Health Careers this fall. I'd like to connect with others who are on the same path this semester with the intention to form a support/study group. Present students are welcome also.

@Nawkole my bio 11 professor was like that I hated it. I thought the weekly quiz was excessive. The fact that I had to keep studying every week for something different made it hard for me to retain information in the overall class. Are his quizzes and exams at least multiple choice? Bio 11 quiz was all fill in the blanks.

Wow! Mancini took the time to put his lectures on Youtube?!! What an awesome professor! That is awesome.

Prashad’s final is MC. The other exams were mixed. Simple. Memorize the formulas, apply them to the questions. Honestly, it was online, so you just answered the questions. If you used your notes, who knew? A lot of people used chat apps to collaboratively take exams. I don't condone it! But it wasnt super difficult to understand the concepts and remember what to do to solve. Exams and quizzes were exactly what we reviewed the week before. The exact questions from class. Take notes, study them. Easy.

Yes. He’s the best! And he explains everything in plain language with humor and all!

Hello everyone. I'm also applying for Spring 2021. I took my TEAS today and I did okay and was wondering how many points the exam adds to our GPA

I have no idea. I believe it applies to your GPA if you score well above 80. I know someone who scored 80 exactly on the TEAS for the Spring 2020 semester. She did not have any points applied to her GPA. I believe that score is considered advanced too.

Good morning.  I took my exam yesterday also.  My score is proficient.  I am hoping that they weigh my GPA with the score because I know of others who have scored higher than me.  Sigh....yes...now the waiting game begins!

Congratulation @Nawkole. The waiting game starts. Someone told me that was in nursing program last semester they took 97 students. Lets keep our fingers cross that we get that acceptance letter.

Thank you!  Congratulations to you too!  If they increase to 97 students then that would give us a better chance for sure.  Keep checking your cunyfirst because I heard that your major may change first.

If you search previous threads about the program for incoming Spring semester in previous years, most results did not reach applicants until the end of January. I believe the dates were in the 20’s of the month. Thats the week I plan to religiously stalk the portal. ?
