  1. Hi, As a transfer student you will have to take SCI 25 before being able to take the TEAS exam first so you’ll be registered as a preclinical student.
  2. Hi! I just received my acceptance letter for the RN to BSN program for the Spring 2023 semester. I'd like to network with other students who are applying, attending or thinking about applying.
  3. Hi. I wanted to create this forum for incoming RN-BSN students of the 2023 Spring/Fall Semester for the School of Professional Studies, to connect with past and present students. I would like to know how your experience was/is and whether you could share any advice to help our transition from the RN to BSN program.
  4. Congratulations to all who were accepted into the KBCC Nursing Fall 2021 Cohort!!!!!! I'm so happy for you all!!!
  5. I understand completely. All will work in your favor. From what I understand; the lecture classes will be remote. I'm not sure if whether that will help or if whether things will change. I did well in both classes (Fundamentals and Dosage) Lots of studying though. Practice questions helped the most as well as networking with classmates within the cohort and individual classes. It's also good to remain connected with students who are in classes ahead because they helped to keep my mind sane when I was stressed and needed encouragement or direction. I'd be happy to share resources with you also if you share your email address.
  6. You're welcome. I hope that all goes well for you in regards to your schedule. A piece of advice( I know that you didn't ask, but I will share anyway because I want for us all to win): At some point, you will have to decide what sacrifices you will be willing to make to pursue your dreams. Whether it's a new job location or some maneuvering that may need to be done concerning your support system. The faculty and students are very supportive in comparison to a lot of the other programs in our area. This is very valuable in such a rigorous program. Try reaching out to the nursing department for some direction in regards to the fall semester and the expected schedules. Explain your situation and see what they share so that you can prepare.
  7. Hi Keisha, Yes, we did have evening classes but the lecture was in the mornings. Lab was offered in the afternoon at 3 pm which was the latest class. Dosage calculations were also offered in the morning and afternoons. Clinical's were in the evenings and different days were offered. We did not have too much of an option in choosing times because our schedules were created for us. Things may very well change for the fall since we will not be under pandemic restrictions. I hope that this helps.
  8. Hi Ana, You are already on a good track by reviewing the YouTubes from the professor. That's all that you really need right now. The nursing program is intense but awesome. I would suggest that you start doing practice NCLEX questions and watch RegisteredNurseRN's Youtube videos for dosage calculation to prepare. She has practice questions on her website also. Send me a private message and I'll share some additional helpful resources for you to work with over the Summer.
  9. @Keisha Parris message me who you’re taking. I have notes to share for one of the profs
  10. I'm not sure what has happened with my messages. I send you an email.
  11. Hey, Thank you so much! Which professor are you taking for Sci25? I will definitely share my syllabus and any other notes are resources that I have with you. You can also send me a private message so that we can share information.
  12. Thank you so much for your good wishes!
  13. Greetings! Relax, you're good! I'm 47!! With grown children...LOL! And everyone is chill here. I'm going to create a facebook group later tonight if no one else has already or plan to.
