Kaplan readiness exam

Nursing Students NCLEX

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone! I'm going over my rationales for Kaplan and can't figure out why the answer is this:

The nursing team consist of two RN, one LVN and a nursing assistant. What is a appropriate lvn/lpn task?

1) ambulated a patient 8 hrs after thoracotomy

2) give enema to a pt prior to a colonoscopy

3) complete a bed bath for a pt who is burned

4) perform a dressing change on a pt 3 days after a cholecystectomy?

I picked #2 but then Kaplan says #4... What am I not seeing?

Good for you! That sounds amazing! I enrolled in a RN to BSN course already...I figure if I wait, I will end up waiting too long because that is the type of person I am! I obviously can't start the program until I get my license though. Just excited to finally be getting somewhere in this big long journey :)

I know what you mean, I fear I may not ever go back but I literally have been in school since 2001 when I graduated highschool and with out any breaks. I spent my whole 20s in college. I am ready to live life now. I started persuing my career in nursing back in 2004. Im so sick of school right now, and especially nursing school.

I can relate! I've been in school since I graduated in 02...went to massage school first then changed directions. Then I had these little speed bumps, called kids, come along, lol! Congrats on your new RN position! That's so exciting :)

Thank you Ella! I really just hope to PASS in general! Man on man, what a stressful past couple of weeks this has been! I definitely do not want to do it again :) I have answered a lot of questions, so I am hoping it just feels like another practice exam. It is just hard to quiet those nerves, ya know? Did you land a job yet Ella?

Peppermint, are you practicing for your NCLEX? I assume, but want to make sure :)

You go girl!!! I take mine soon too, I was scheduled to take it march 14, then freaked out and moved it to the 18! I am doing questions too! Are you doing Kaplan? If so how are your scores? I'm excited to take this test and hopefully I pass
