Hey guys,Kaplan has a new Online ADN program which would be good for those students with children and have to work fulltime like myself. It is very affordable and you will be sure to graduate if you do well. The Instructors are very warm and helpful. There are seminars online every week and weekly exams too. Check it out!
do you have a link?
I spoke to Kaplan almost a year ago and they were raving about the fact that they were going to be offering the ADN program (online) and offer clinical sites here in the Quad Cities, Iowa. They were supposed to be waiting on getting the program accredited, and they were going to know by April 2007. Must not have happened, and never heard any more on the program. Thank heavens I got into our CC for Spring 08 and don't need to worry about that school as an option anymore!
I am enrolled and scheduled to start in july, I cannot wait.. it sounds good.. its a 30,ooo program if you need to take all the classes. Its a little pricey but its woth all the hoops that most programs make you jump through. And currently there is no wait for july. they can only take 30 students, For me it worked out well.. I have been on a waiting list for almost 2 years to get in the RN program. With Kaplan I just got right in,.
online nursing school? Good luck!I have needed every ounce of classtime I have gotten, and could have used some more.
I hope they have audio / video lectures for you to listen to, because it will be very difficult without that reinforcement.
The course is not totally online. We have to do clinicals at the hospital and go to the lab for practice. It is a farly good program especially for students like myself with children and a job. I am in my third term and doing quite fine.
Our ADN program at NOVA offers an online course. of course lab and clinical are completed at the school/hospital. But one can take the "theory" classes online. they use a program called centura and it shows the exact same powerpoint slides that you would see in the classroom and the prof still talks away and you can still ask questions. And the session is saved. So if u want to go back and review it, just log back in! Its pretty neat. Im in the traditional method, but thought it was a cool option, especially for the students that have to do a lot of driving.
