I am taking the NCLEXRN on 7/17/2007. I took the Kaplan course and have been getting around 60% consistently. I was in the passing zone for the Readiness test offered by Kaplan. I was concerned that I was not making the 65% but I was told by the Kaplan Instructor that if you are consistently making 50% or better on the Question trainer you are ready to test for the NCLEX. This Kaplan instructor also taught at a nursing school that had a 100% pass rate and she said thats what she tells her students. Good Luck!
Scoring 55-60's on Kaplan is really good. If you're scoring in the 60's you'll do fine. I was scoring 55's up until 2 days before my test. I passed! You're well prepared. Just remember not to do any testing or anything related to the exam before the day. Just relax. Your state of mind can change everything!
I've been studying for NCLEX on my own for three months-- have been using Kaplan (online qbank and question trainers only--no classes) and various books... I'll have done about 5,000 questions by my test date. The only problem: my qbank cumulative score is only 63%. I only got a 62% on test 7, too. (68% on test 5 and 60% on test 6) I want (and need) to get this test over with, but am I walking into a failure? I did well in school, so I'm not sure why I can't seem to hit the 65% mark with Kaplan. I'd feel so much more confident if I could hit 65... I'm worried that this is going to mess with my head, and even if I *am* prepared I'll fail due to anxiety.Anyone take NCLEX with similar scores on Kaplan online?
I took test #7 today and scored 62% too. I got 61% on #5, and 71 on #6
I think the biggest mistake I made while taking #7, was taking all 265 Q without a brake. So, I literally sat in front of the computer for 4 1/2 hrs . Huge, Huge mistake, b/c when I took test #6, I also took a brake for 20 min and had lunch, thus, scored better. I'll retake #7 in a week and use a "brake strategy" and see if I'll do any better. All I can say, I'll pray very hard not to get all 265Q on the NCLEX b/c it is very hard to sit through them:o.
Good luck studying !

im highly confident u passed
i didnt even need the videos or qtrainer to pass...and i wouldnt call myself the brains of the class either...
This makes me feel a little better. I was just logging in to post a similar question and I saw this thread!
I finally took QT7 and got a 66%. My Qbank average is at 64% right now. Diagnostic test 62% and Readiness test at 66%.
But yet I just don't feel ready at all with these scores! I take my test in 2 days and I've been having serious second thoughts and major panic freakouts, but maybe after reading this thread it won't be so bad after all. Ugh!!!!
