Hi All,
I am curious as to what a competitive applicant has for an ATI TEAS score, GPA, prereqs. I understand the minimum TEAS was 78, but it has been temporarily lowered to 65.
Obviously, the higher the scores the better, but what does an average accepted applicant's scores look like?
What is a solid TEAS score for acceptance, do I have to score in the 90s or are scores in 70s adequate?
Do most selectees earn A's on their Zoology and MICR, or are B's competitive? Essentially, I am wondering if I should fork out additional money to retake the zoology classes to raise the B's to A's or is that an unwise use of tight funds?
Any guidance is appreciated.
Anyone start the TB and titers? I have all titers but no lab reports so I cant use it. But the TB test is a two parter that can be thrown off by immunizations sometimes, so do TB first, shots second. Since we are transferring I think we also have to do the UH manoa health clearance forms too, same stuff, different forms. Man this is kind of a lot of stuff, and our financial aid stuff too.
Hey Coug, just to let you know, I emailed about financial aid and I was told that I can expect to hear back on the amount I am granted about 4 weeks after I submit my FAFSA. So if you haven't done so yet, I would really encourage you taking care of that.
No they didn't I wanted to speak with an advisor. But I will just wait for the NSO next week friday. Cpo, coug, and rockinit, you guys still going?
I'm not sure if my vacation request got approved for that day. I find out this Thursday. Sending you positive vibes for a status change, Ellers and Roz!!
Thanks for your help! I will be making my way back to uh this week. For a few polos. I've heard from a second semester nursing student that we will be expected to wear our uniforms on at least one day of orientation so I'm making sure to get some in my size before they run out!
I just dropped off my forms and checked out the bookstore for uniforms. Didn't buy any though...waiting for payday on Friday to splurge
The health requirement list is massive!
Happt halloween to you too. Yes, easy on the candy and ill add... do t forget tk vote november 5th!..lol
Ellers, I jus t called kcc. The lady said they have not mailed out a second letter yet. that alternate students will know in mid november if they are accepted or not. Grrr... it a hard getting mixed information. I guess we can ask all our questions next friday.
I dont like being in limbo waiting!!! Have u finished all your health requirments?
Roz I know that's why I give up. And when I called they said sometimes the class availibility is not current so I'm like whatever we will find out next Friday and we will also find out how many were alt listed. I hate being in limbo too! But just incase I will be registering for my classes on the 4th that I want to retake. And yes I am done with all my health requirements. I just need to go in tomorrow to get the copies for my titers and I also just finished my BLS today. So happy! And I hope it's not all for nothing. Oh i still need my physical but I'm gonna wait till I know for sure if I got in or not.
Thanks K9,
got my forms and still gotta fill them in this weekend. getting my second tb and titer stuff today but will have to wait two weeks for the green light on the TB test before I can register.
Ellers, Ill be looking to take it probably via maui as the schedule looks tough or maybe even the summer since it must be done by first year I think.
thats funny. I luckily got a resident doctor so since he is new he was cheerful and very helpful, even redoing titers I had since he said he didnt want it to come back, whats one more vial of blood right? Super nice. luck of the draw. CPO let me know how the meeting with Michael goes if/when you go for it so I can get some pointers in how to get through this fast!
