Hi everyone, I wanted to make this for everyone applying for the Kaiser Socal New Grad Program starting in March 2024
Bubbles0819 said:Hi everyone! I just got an email from Kaiser saying that I was accepted into the new grad program! I was wondering if anyone else has the same experience though. The email does not say which hospital it is for. It just says "Congrats on being selected for our SCAl RN new grad program. We invite you to join us for a conference call to go over your offer details and next steps of the onboarding process"
From what I have read from the other comments on this thread it seems like people have either gotten calls or specific emails. So it makes me wonder what this means LOL I am super excited and nervous.
Dm me! I can give you an overview on what they need !
LVN2RNMom said:You're welcome and no worries. It is a win!! Just get the offer, no matter how you get the offer....LOL I just know working for Kaiser, they are trying to streamline the hiring process and handle things thru the KP portal. I actually prefer it because I have email proof in writing, just in case I want to go back & re-read it....hahahaha
The Talent Acquisition Rep should provide you with details of the position, like hours you are hired for and the hourly rate. The offer letter should also be in your KP candidate profile, so you have that for reference. You may also need a physical scheduled with employee health, a TB test and any titers for Hep B, MMR, Varicella which I am sure they can answer for you during your appointment. The New Grad RN Program starts in March but it seems like different locations are starting their program on different dates. Just my observation....Congratulations and best of luck!! Hopefully, you will love working for Kaiser as I do.
Are you able to view your offer letter already? If so, where in the KP candidate profile would I be able to locate??

Ohhh OK OK . Ummm usually they start with the drug screening . It's due within 48 hours after accepting the job offer , then the employment application needs to be filled for the background check . Covid 19 survey and then setting up MRN and health assessment appointments .( labs and what not ) . They only do your titters or vaccines if you don't have them yet . For me it's was just a TB test . I think that's it

Hello. So I accepted the job offer on Monday but haven't seen any emails regarding onboarding however was invited to a teams meeting to go over your offer details and next steps of the onboarding process. should I be worried that I haven't done any applications or drug screening? They just haven't sent me anything
Can someone help me? They just haven't sent me anything. Someone said things need to be done within 48 hours of accepting new job offer, but they haven't sent me anything yet other than the teams meeting. This is for LAMC

I wouldn't worry about it. I was offered a position on 1/9 and had my conference call appt with the Talent Acquisition Rep on 1/10. I have my Teams Meeting scheduled on 1/22 to make sure that my transfer paperwork is in order and I have my physical scheduled with Employee Health on 1/31 (even internal employees have to get a physical done too). I started with Kaiser at LAMC some years ago and loved it. They have the best cafeteria but hate the parking situation.
Scoronel said:Has anyone heard back from Kaiser Riverside or Baldwin Park yet? my application still says under consideration. I've noticed everyone that's posting that they've either had an interview or been accepted have got ones from Anaheim Irvine are LAMC.
also, are any of the ones that are being accepted Kaiser employees? and do you guys have your BSN or just your associates out of curiosity?
I didn't apply to either of those locations and I am a current Kaiser employee. I currently have my RN-ADN and I started my BSN on 12/4, which was before the New Grad RN Program interviews started. I also completed my NIHSS, PALS, BLS & ACLS on my own before the interview.

Hey!
my friends got IRVINE kaiser offers , I had west LA and LMAC and SD offers . But took West LA. Some of my other friends also got Kaiser South Bay. Maybe try contacting the team? They might go according to the cohort they have. I also still have some " in consideration " statuses . And nope, I am not a kaiser employee or have any medical background such as work history . Only nursing school .
I currently have my BSN and my RN license . As far as I know ( from what I've heard ) it's harder for someone who has an ADN with/ without a license or a BSN without a license to apply . The computer rejects it automatically , and when I spoke to my supervisor (the one who offered me the position) she said that the HR has a check mark that they use to filter all candidates and move on to give those to the managers of the floor . I believe they filter out at-least a couple of hundreds through thousands based on the inputs , qualifications and degrees that applicants have . If you have your BLS , ACLS, PALS, NIH and RN license , you should be good to go! I hope you get a call back soon! Most of the kaiser here are already done with offers (well the ones I've mentioned )
