Hi everyone, I wanted to make this for everyone applying for the Kaiser Socal New Grad Program starting in March 2024
Bubbles0819 said:Hi everyone! I just got an email from Kaiser saying that I was accepted into the new grad program! I was wondering if anyone else has the same experience though. The email does not say which hospital it is for. It just says "Congrats on being selected for our SCAl RN new grad program. We invite you to join us for a conference call to go over your offer details and next steps of the onboarding process"
From what I have read from the other comments on this thread it seems like people have either gotten calls or specific emails. So it makes me wonder what this means LOL I am super excited and nervous.
Every Kaiser hospital seems to handle their hiring differently for the New Grad Program. I received an email as well and it looked weird to me for similar reasons. I accepted the invite for the conference call and emailed the Talent Acquisition Rep to ask which Kaiser hospital she was representing. I am also an internal employee, so it was so odd to me. Some Kaiser locations who were hiring for the New Grad Program actually reached out and called those they were interested in, which of course I was hoping for a call....LOL from my experience, the Talent Acquisition Team is pretty much on top of it and is pretty quick to getting what they need to get you on board. I am ready to start in March and it isn't even February yet....LOL I am sure we are all feeling the same anxiousness.

You're welcome and no worries. It is a win!! Just get the offer, no matter how you get the offer....LOL I just know working for Kaiser, they are trying to streamline the hiring process and handle things thru the KP portal. I actually prefer it because I have email proof in writing, just in case I want to go back & re-read it....hahahaha
The Talent Acquisition Rep should provide you with details of the position, like hours you are hired for and the hourly rate. The offer letter should also be in your KP candidate profile, so you have that for reference. You may also need a physical scheduled with employee health, a TB test and any titers for Hep B, MMR, Varicella which I am sure they can answer for you during your appointment. The New Grad RN Program starts in March but it seems like different locations are starting their program on different dates. Just my observation....Congratulations and best of luck!! Hopefully, you will love working for Kaiser as I do.

Does anyone know if it would be OK to work part time at a different hospital in the meantime? March seems like a long time for me LOL. I just want to make sure that by doing so it won't jeopardize my offer with Kaiser.
I am sure it wouldn't be an issue unless you didn't complete your on boarding with Talent Acquisition. Just be sure you keep in contact with your point of contact and submit whatever they need for on boarding.
Has anyone heard back from Kaiser Riverside or Baldwin Park yet? my application still says under consideration. I've noticed everyone that's posting that they've either had an interview or been accepted have got ones from Anaheim Irvine are LAMC.
also, are any of the ones that are being accepted Kaiser employees? and do you guys have your BSN or just your associates out of curiosity?
