Kaiser Socal New Grad Spring 2024

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone, I wanted to make this for everyone applying for the Kaiser Socal New Grad Program starting in March 2024

Specializes in GI.

Thanks for the reply. I'm also an employee and have been for 20 + years. Those are the two last locations that I applied for that I haven't been denied it just says under consideration.

My situation is similar to yours I've done everything you have. maybe I still have a chance

I would hope so considering your tenure with Kaiser. Do you have your BSN? Did you complete any certifications?

Yes, I've completed my ACLS, PALS, and NIHHS. Also in the BSN program.

I am prepared to be completed with my BSN before the transfer happens and I made that known during the interview. Is yours the same? I wouldn't think it would be a deal breaker but you never know.

Has anyone received an email for drug screening instruction after accepting an offer? Also, I don't see the specific unit on my offer letter but it says nursing administration 0801. Does anyone know what this means?

I just emailed someone asking when I should expect be receiving the drug screen and background disclosure documents since I haven't received them either. same for me it said 0801. Not sure what it means either. I think they're not giving us a unit yet and I remember when I had initially spoken to when given the offer on the phone, they told me we kinda get to pick at the end of our orientation. regardless it'll be either medsurg, tele or oncology.

I didn't apply to either of those locations and I am a current Kaiser employee. I currently have my RN-ADN and I started my BSN on 12/4, which was before the New Grad RN Program interviews started. I also completed my NIHSS, PALS, BLS & ACLS on my own before the interview.

Can I ask how you did your NIHSS? Is it also though AHA?

I did my NIHSS thru Appex Innovations as my school had us (students) do our initial test with them when we started critical care Med Surg. My certificate was about to expire in April of this year, so I just renewed it for free. My ACLS, BLS & PALS are all certified thru AHA.

For people who have accepted the position through the Microsoft form, have you received your drug screening and background disclosure documents?

For those of you who have accepted the offer and have completed the background submission, has your application status changed?
I have been keeping up with all the forms, requests, and meetings and my application status has changed to "no longer in consideration for position.” Should I worry?
