Got it, thanks! Sorry, just worried that I'm doing something incorrectly ?

Trust me, I've been worried over the same thing!

Does anyone know if we need to come in wearing scrubs on start week? San Francisco location specifically ?

Hi everyone! I was wondering if there's a FB group for this cohort?

Yes, I believe so. Previous cohorts wore scrubs during orientation week.

I didn't see one, so I just created one! Please let me know if you can see it; it's called "Kaiser Permanente NorCAL Nurse Residency Cohort 5."

Just joined, thank you!

Those in San Francisco/Peninsula location have you guys received any email to meet with our Hub coordinator ------------------------ about our start? I remember during the entire cohort group meeting on Monday ----------------------- said he'd be having a location specific meeting later in the week. It's now Wednesday and I'm getting worried I might've not received the email LOL..

I got an email yesterday from him for a meet and greet today at 3 with I think the people that are at my location. I am at the San Jose location. I think he is just waiting on educators to get back to him before he sends out an email! I hope that helps!

I was also wondering... Has anyone had access to the HRConnect and learning modules yet?

I haven't.. but it seems like some people have gotten access to some materials. Can anyone confirm if they were able to access the learning modules yet?  Or log onto KP Learning?  I'd really appreciate it!

Hello all!  I hope you're settling in to your new grad positions by now!  I am an applicant in the upcoming cohort 6. My question to you all is: are you on an 8 hour or 12 hour shift?  I had always assumed I would be working a 12 hour shift since that's the most common nurse schedule, but I realize that a lot of Kaiser shifts are 8s. Is med/surg tele normally 8 or 12?  Thanks!

Hi! kendrer, we are about a month into our programs. they are 8 hour shifts, only travelers, some floors and people who are doing overtime work 12's. I really like working 8 I feel like so far I have a better work-life balance. I hope that helps and good luck with applying!!

There are 12's at some medical centers! Santa Clara has one and I think Fremont.
