Kaiser NorCal New Grad Residency 2023 (Spring Cohort 5)

Hello everyone! I didn't see this topic on the forum, so I'll create this for anyone else who is planning to apply to Kaiser's New Residency Program. Good luck!!

Does anyone know if we're going to have a preferred color of scrubs to wear (I.e Kaiser preferred scrubs uniform)? or pretty much can wear any solid color scrubs? Thanks.

In Kaiser SF and Oakland I've seen all the nurses just coming in with their own scrubs in whatever color/style/brand they want.

No knowing if they're going to want our cohort wearing a specific type of uniform to tell us apart though ??‍♂️

Are we suppose to get our badges before our start date?

My friend is in the cohort ahead of us and she is a Figs Queeen! Kaiser lets you wear anything but white. 
white scrubs are for students ONLY. 
 

Kaiser has their OR scrubs a lot of people wear. Especially after the pandemic. My mom is one of those people who strictly wears KP scrubs and she's ICU.

@Mwnurse2022 the badges will probably have to be done before the start date. As we need to badge in before entering the unit. I did my clinicals at Kaiser and had to get the badge before we can start the orientation and in order for us to get inside the unit.

oh... So should we just do it the first day we go in-person after NEO?

-you will have to email your hiring manager to verify additional details for your orientation, access, and getting your badge.
