Kaiser NorCal New Grad Residency 2023 (Spring Cohort 5)

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone! I didn't see this topic on the forum, so I'll create this for anyone else who is planning to apply to Kaiser's New Residency Program. Good luck!!

was that your offer letter? Anyone hear back since Friday?

I got an email today too: Kaiser Permanente Nurse Residency Program - Position Survey - mine was for Oakland. Hopefully others will receive theirs soon! They shared a spreadsheet with multiple job IDs and schedules and asked recipients to rank them in order of preference. Nothing official - as mentioned "official offers" will go out next week.

It was an email to see which position I'd like at Santa Clara, not an official offer letter. It said that they'll send official offer letters next week

Question on schedule!

With the sample schedules, showing we would work either a Saturday or a Sunday on week 1 and or 2. Do we get every other weekend off, or do we work every weekend? I am confused! if someone can help explain the schedule to me ?

If anyone interviewed for Roseville, have you heard back this week yet? I got the acceptance email on Friday but no follow up yet

The options we had were actual future schedule options and similar to typical nursing schedules that range from 24-36 hours/week, most were nights, some evening, and one day. Ex. Nights 0.8 FTE Week 1: Sat, Mon, Wed Week 2: Thursday, Friday, Mon, Tues. (not an actual option just an example). It'll probably differ for your each location - hopefully that helps!

Also, they're rotating weeks so yeah, after week 2, the next week would be just like week 1 - if you're scheduled one weekend day each week then yeah, you would work every weekend... =/

Hi, Thank you for responding! yes, looking at what they offered on all the 0.8 schedules includes a weekend. So, I wasn't sure if that means working every weekend or every other. Just trying to clarify.  Either way, its not a problem. I am so excited and honored to have gotten in to the program!! Super exciting ?
