Kaiser NorCal New Grad Residency 2023 (Spring Cohort 5)

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone! I didn't see this topic on the forum, so I'll create this for anyone else who is planning to apply to Kaiser's New Residency Program. Good luck!!

My interview is tomorrow and I'm about to send my PowerPoint (I know it's super late). But for those that have interviewed, did you guys send the ppt with speaker notes or without?

Had my interview today, good luck to those who have interviews coming up!!

Did they ask formal questions after everyone presented? or was it just a powerpoint?

For me they just asked questions about your resume or powerpoint. So not like the formal interview questions, but more clarifying.

I interviewed for Santa Clara and it was a variety. They ask questions to each person after you present. The questions range from clarification/more info based on what you presented, the basic questions (I was asked what my strengths and weaknesses were), and I heard some interviewers asked clinical questions too. So I think it really depends, just be prepared for anything.

Did they mention how many they are accepting for Santa Clara or San Jose?

Not sure about San Jose, but for Santa Clara they said 11 ?

Looks like Santa Clara is only offering PM and NOC positions ? anyone interview with San Jose? Do they have AM spots open?

Anyone know anything else about the  Roseville location? How many are being hired, which positions, etc.

Honestly, it would be better to work Nights/Evenings on a MedSurg/Tele unit! For NOC, the patients are mostly asleep, no visitors, and the differential is excellente! Believe me, you don't want to work days in MedSurg/Tele in SC ?  Just my two cents having worked in these units before! (obviously not as a nurse)

I'm actually an AM shift PCT at SCH! Are you still there currently? I know it's super hectic but having the evenings off gives me a chance to have a work-life balance, I pretty much never saw anyone when I worked PM shift HAHA
