Hi, I noticed there's no thread for the residency program at Highland Hospital or (Alameda Health System in general) in Oakland, CA! I finished up most of my onboarding for a Clinical Nurse I position in the emergency department. I was hoping to connect with other people in the ER cohort, as well as people going into other specialties.

One of the people on our panel today said that people who are offered the job will be brought in for a second face to face interview to determine placement

I'm actually an AM shift PCT at SCH! Are you still there currently? I know it's super hectic but having the evenings off gives me a chance to have a work-life balance, I pretty much never saw anyone when I worked PM shift HAHA

Looks like Santa Clara is only offering PM and NOC positions ? anyone interview with San Jose? Do they have AM spots open?

Hi everyone! Just to update anyone who still hasn't received the career snapshot, I emailed them and got an email about 20 minutes later that said "you are receiving this email because we have not received your Career Snapshot". They sent the career snapshot attachment in the email and specified that it was due tomorrow at 9 am. If you haven't gotten your snapshot, maybe try reaching out!

Any update for you yet? I've double and triple checked I submitted everything correctly and I'm not sure what to think at this point LOL

I also applied fairly early, around 10 am PST on the first day of the application. Trying not to feel anxious about it haha

Has anyone not yet received the career snapshot request? I know we have until Wednesday but it seems like you're all working on it and Im wondering if they're sending it in waves or something

Don't freak out! Everyone who applies receives a career snapshot which is basically an opportunity to include all the little things to make you stand out. The initial application is just a high level thing to see that you're qualified (I.e. have a license or will have one by the date they specified). Don't worry, you've got this!

Hi guys, I was hesitant to make this comment because nothing is for sure yet, but I’ve felt in the dark for the past few months and I know I wish someone would’ve left this comment for me. I’m a Fall student at Ohlone and we still don’t have clinical placements. Carrie met with us last week to tell us it looks like we won’t be getting one in time to finish the semester, so we will probably be suspended in our current class until we get a clinical site. I would assume that if our class is not moving forward, it would be difficult or impossible to admit the Spring cohort. again, I’m not totally sure about what will happen so don’t be too discouraged, and I hope you all get some good news soon.
