just took the test today

Published

I have just signed up on this website but I have been viewing it for about a month now and I found a lot o things that you all have said helpful. I just got finished taking the nclex RN test today and it was soooooooo hard. I have really studied (about 50hrs a week over 900 questions a week), took Kaplan and sat for a review class that may school offered but I don't think it paid off. throughout the test I felt that I guessed a lot and I was so worried about thinking if the following questions where getting harder or easier, to try to give me an idea of how I was doing. I had 75 question and finished in 1hr and 10min. I guess I will get prepared to study all over again. can I get some encouragement!!! : : :crying2: :crying2: :crying2:

Promises. My crystal ball tells me you passed too. :) :) :)

Thanks Ingo456! I feel so weak right now. I'm trying to hang in there.

Promises or Arrabia did any of you get your answers wether you passed or not. I need to see if my crystal ball need tweeking. :) :) :)

:o it was over too soon - i walked in early and got started with the actual test at 1:45 - i was cruising along - questions were quite difficult - i felt - i looked down at the corner - 74 questions - i'm thinking - ok - you are prepared to do all 265 - did #75 and the danged computer shuts down! i wanted to jump up and down and say no - i'm not done!

i felt confident when i walked in - very serene - my husband even said that he had never seen me so at ease. i walked out and started crying. another girl that started 5 minutes before me walked out right behind me - we both said - "omg - what happened in there - are we stupid - did we forget everything we learned"

no herb questions, at least 10 "alternate format - check all that apply" questions - and 2 what patient would you give to a nurse floating from ob type of question. 2 medical calculations and 1 or 2 actual medication questions (side effects, blah blah blah). a few on end-stage renal failure.

the rest were pediatric and ob.

what happened to delegation, prioritization, etc.

man - well, it's over - and whatever happens happens!

good luck to all those that took it today - i was with you in spirit - and to those that are taking it in the future - be prepared for anything

cheryl (how i feel right now) :barf01:

Specializes in er, pediatric er.

I don't know anyone personally who failed with 75 questions. I have seen a few on here who failed with 75, but the overwhelming majority passed with 75. I felt the same way you did, though. I got 75 and felt like I failed the test. I even looked a bunch of questions up after (not a good idea!!), and I had missed the majority of the ones that I looked up! I still passed. I am in one of the non quick results states and it took 7 days to get results. It had to be the most stressful 7 days of my life. It is the first thing you think about when you wake up and the last thing you think about when you go to sleep. You think about the questions and wonder which ones you got right and wrong! But trust me WHEN you get the results that you passed it is most wonderful feeling I have had!

THANK GOD!!! I PASSED!!! Thanks for all your encouragement and prayers!

Thanks again for the support!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
