If somethings seems to good to be true it usually is.Any way i appreciate all your help because i was about ready to buy it. In stead I am going to buy the kaplan review. Seems to be the best out there. Thanks again.

  8. Sorry Christine i meant to write to Arrabia I am new to this site and still getting used to it. Arabia you passed my crystal ball told me you did :) :) :) :) :)
  9. JKCMom I did hear of men and i emphasize men that had low GPA's like mine getting into CRNA programs and NP programs after so many years of experience, however they were men. Maybe its the same for women. I dont know. And just so you know I in no way shape or form meant to imply that Straitght A academically means bad skills. In fact i witnessed the opossite. A girl who fineshed with a 3.7 GPA always was around to help me clinically and academically. And believe me she knew what she was doing clinically.
  10. Christine You more then likely passed. If you gave it 110% took a review corse and studied on your own there really isnt much more you can do. listen go out tonight watch a movie, get a boyfriend anything to take your mind off the results and when they come in just know regardless of your score that you did all you can do. If by any chance you fail ( which you wont) dust your self off and try again and prove to your self that a test can't ruin your life. You are stronger than some words on a computer screen. Keep us posted.
  11. Ok correct me if I am wrong but if its at .50 it can go either up or down if its bellow .50 your round down to the nearest decimal place and if its above .50 than you round up. I am not to sure about peds calculation. All though i havent herd anyone so far get a peds med calc. So 3.25 becomes 3.30 or 3.20 and 0.65 becomes .70 or .65
  12. Everybody thank you for your input. I will be starting today to do 150 questions per day as one of you recomended. Its nice that people like you bother to help others like me. I wont forget this thanks again :)
  13. What can you expect? Where the hell do I begin. First off all lets talk about the people you will be dealling with perticulartly your classmates. Women will talk about you stab you in the back tell on you and so on. Use them only for study parteners. DO NOT get intimatlly involved with them. I graduated out of a class of 12. 3 were guys and the rest were women. I have come to dislike maybe even hate all the women except for like 1 or 2. Next the constant assult on your self esteem. Basically the school i went to the teachers in the begining had this mentality of if your were not born a nurse then you should not be a nurse. Next the amount of material is colosal. No way to put it all in your head. Next item is the clinicals i hope you are prepare to wipe ass give bed baths and showers, insert folies deal with crazy people give shots, start IV and see peple in alot of pain. NOw if you can get through all that and still want to be a nurse there is a great pay off at the end. You make a difference in peples life every day and save lives everyday.
  14. Hello everyone. I just signed up to take the NCLEX on August 10 2005. I have like 28 days to study. I would like to know what study review helped you the most and which one came closet to the NCLEX like questions. I curentlly have SOUNDERS Q and A Review and SOUNDERS COMPUTERIZED REVIEW. Please tell me if these are good or which direction i should go in. As of right now i just been reading horror stories of how people feel after taking the test and that nothing could have prepared them for those questions. Is there any help out there. Should i study at all.
  15. Dear JKCMom If you can keep a 4.0 in nursing school more power to you. I can tell you that i got throught high school by sleeping in classes and then on the test would get a B+ or A+. I really thought i was smart and if I can get A and B while sleeping I can sure get A's and B's if I really tried. However I got to nursing school in class of 16 and all my A and B went out the window and got left with the C's Even though i worked really hard. Anyway the point i am trying to make here is that It does not really matter if you are an A student or B student or even a C student. Because 2 or 3 years down the road when you finish nursing school and you are working on a floor trying to make those difficult dicisions it wont matter if you were an A student or not. A C or or B student might come along and save you. My advice to you is get through nursing school with the intent of learing about what to do in those critical moments where lives are on the line and if you still have time worry about getting all A's go ahead but to tell you the truth you might just be setting your self up for dissapointment. I finished with a GPA of 2.65 i think that is a C+.
