Just took my NCLEX this morning. It shut off at 75 questions for me. I had a ton of SATA and priority questions. Now I have to wait the agonizing 48 hours for my quick results.... Feeling like I want to puke. I've heard that's normal after this, right?
Thanks for listening!

Do you remember getting the last question right?
I think I did.

Last question is irrelevant except for finishing after 265 questions. 75 is the minimum number of questions. Even after answering #75 incorrectly, they may still be above the pass line.
15 out of the first 75 questions are beta questions that do not count. If question 75 was a beta question, then answering it right or wrong doesn't matter.

I took mine this morning too. Stopped at 75 Q and I had about 55 SATA......feeling worthless right now so I'm right there waiting with you
Wow i wonder what the trend of passing would be because i don't think i could get 75 right :$

If the test stops at 75, that means you were clearly well above or well below passing standard, to a degree that no further testing is necessary. The fact that you feel like you need to hurl is evidence (pass or fail) that your limit was found today and you were held right at that limit the entire time. The NCLEX isn't like any exam you take in school where there's a certain percentage to get to pass. No, it adapts to your ability and makes subsequent questions more difficult or less difficult based on your answer to the current question. Consequently, your actual percentage of correct/incorrect answers may actually be somewhere in the 60% range, and certainly once your limit is found, you'll ideally be at a 50% correct/incorrect answer rate. In short, you should feel like you're basically guessing, educated guessing to be sure, but guessing nonetheless.
Yes, feeling like you need to hurl is completely normal.
Now get on with doing anything other than thinking about the NCLEX because there's nothing you can do to change the outcome. Just occasionally check NurSys and/or your state BON's website for license numbers. Once your 48 hours are up, even if your license numbers aren't posted, then check for your Quick Results from Pearson Vue.

I took it on Saturday and had 7 SATA with 75 question. Odds are if it shut off at 75 you passed..

Thank you! I've manage to spend the day outside enjoying the nice weather here and will do it again until my 48 hours are up! :)

My test stopped at 75 also. About 10 SATA I think and a lot of Prioritization, some meds, teaching - which shows understand or need for further teaching, a therapeutic communication question, 2 psychs, delegation, and 1 EKG and the rest I had never heard of before. When it shut off, I honestly did not know what to think aside from the test being "out there" with respect to questions and topics ...really random. I was confident in about 5 of the answers I selected and did my best to eliminate the false answers. I am not sick or excited...more dazed and waiting on the results. I am not doing the PVT.

I took it today as well. Mine shut off at 75q.I had about 35 SATA. I did the pop up and got a good pop up. I felt like I wanted to hurl before and was okay after. With my Uworld avg and Kaplan Readiness score, I had a good chance of passing. So I was hoping for the blue screen at Q75.

That feeling is totally normal! That was how I was feeling when I finished my test with 75 questions as well and I passed!
