Just finished fundamentals of nursing, a 6 credit course. I missed an A in class by literally 1 test question.... I did the math, and with the way the tests are, the test question could have come from any of my 6 tests in the class.
I know C = RN.... but....

@ /username, I love it. someone should have said that to me the way i was acting this week.
OP, I know exactly how you feel! I was lazy and went to a b-day party the night before my first test in 2nd quarter. I "failed" by my schools standards. (i got a 76). Since then, i have gotten over 92 on all exams. with that first 76 though, i will be 1 point from an A at the end of the quarter. Somehow 1 pt from an A is so more frustrating that a solid B. when i whine about this, my BF puts his head phones on. Just kick a$$ next time:)
@/username I wouldn't call it overacting when I come from having straight A's just to end up being one question away from an A..... Now, if I started hunting down the professor and demand she round up my 93.8%... that might be overreacting. But nah, I will just be all mopey for today.
@Grownuprosie, thanks. Yeah, I would have rather had a solid B now and not be so close, I probably would be less frustrated then. I know I am going to end up studying so much more for the next class now, Pharmacology and Assessment! I start in one week. Already started reading the book. Dang a-type personality....
Don't get me wrong, I am happy that I passed the class. One of my classmates didn't and it is sad to see her leave the progam.

Do you know that the grade will not be rounded up? If not and you are not willing to make a small effort to speak to your instructor than how upset can you be?
If it were me I would just go ask the instructor. What is the worse that can happen? She can say no and you are no worse off than you are now, but she can say yes and you get the A you think you earned.

Congrats. I had Foundations in the fall and finished with B+. I didn't care, I was just happy to pass that nightmare of a class.
I know everyone says Foundations is 'easy' but something about it needled me - like I felt they were purposely trying to make us crack. Combine that with a new way to take exams, the no less than 80% rule, pretentious newbie nursing students, and BLECH. Second semester so far is much better.
They can't sadly
The admins at this school are crazy sometimes, I feel really bad for my instructors sometimes will all the crap they put up with. They are amazing instructors but are really held back. Example: on test days we can not bring ANYTHING in the classroom, except pencils and a scantron. No purses no backpacks no nothing. Everything has to stay in our cars... and it is a long walk. They also hate it when our instructors use powerpoints to teach, even though the students prefer that method. etc....
It got so bad the whole class bought a ton of chocolate and a card for our instructor.
