June 2010 CRNE Results

Published

I don't want to start the posts too early, but I was just wondering if anyone knew how long it is actually supposed to take to get results this year. I know that some people I worked with last summer got theirs in early-mid July. I checked out the CNO website and the CNA website (and a few others along the way) one says 8-12 weeks and the other says 4-6. I'm already driving myself crazy...if I have to wait another 8+ weeks I'll end up really going off the deep end :uhoh3:

I'm so happy for you, RescueNinja!!!! Finally, GREAT NEWS after the looooooooooooong wait!! :yeah:

Congratulations to everyone who passed and to those who were not successful in the exam, please believe that you WILL make it next time.. don't give up.. with hard work and a positive attitude, anything is possible

another day of waiting in Windsor...

I passed, I am about 30 mins east of Ottawa. Good luck to all who are waiting and for people who need to rewrite don't give up. Take care

I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :nurse:

My DH checked the mail and yelled at me to get downstairs QUICK! So I almost killed myself running down the stairs, but it was worth it!!!

I'm an hour or so East of Ottawa. It was just one sheet that said I was successful.

congratulations, it's been nice of you to cheer on those who've passed and console those who didn't.

For those who didn't pass this time, it's not the end of the world.

I'm new to Canada, but in the US I knew a couple great nurses who failed but eventually passed (nclex). I also knew some folks who I thought had infarcted brains but passed no problems. One of the best nurses I've known in the states recently failed his CCRN exam. Some folks are just not good test takers.

You never know. I hope for the best for you all.

I passed but I was having some chest pains after reading about the "Thin" envelope discussion. Mine was thin, the people at CNO muffed up my immigration info. I called, "oh, you're fine, but they flagged your documents for some reason?...." hmmm....

better start working on that disguise....

Hie, to all ..Congratulations to those who have made it at this time..............and thank you for all those encouraging words. I didnt make it at this point and will never give up. I have just registered again......way to go.

Secondly my name still appears in the "find a Nurse" SO HOLD ON TILL YOU GET YOUR RESULTS. They will revoke your name later. Im in Hamilton. Good luck to those who have not yet received theirs.

ladydodo: What happened next? Did you have to call your employer or does the College do that? What happens if you are scheduled to work at 1500 and you get the mail at 1430? Is there a way that your employer can petition to keep you on till you write again? Did you lose your job or is it held for you? The Nursing Act states that a temporary licence will be revoked immediately after gaining knowledge that the applicant was unsuccessful at meeting the requirements outlined under the temporary class (ie:passing the provincial exam) so it's funny that the website would still say "entitled to practice with restrictions". Unless the revoking part only happens once you (the applicant) gain the knowledge that you were unsuccessful... Maybe if I never check the mail........(lol) :nurse:??????

You can imagine, how you can handle such a situation. Well this is not the end of the world, I know its hard .........for a few minutes ......... I thought it was not true. Back to reality! again . This is what my letter says about my temporary registration.

" A temporary Certificate of registration is automatically revoked when the applicant receives notification of the failure of the national registration examination in the same category of registration as the temporary certificate. THEREFORE, CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION IS NOW REVOKED. A NOTICE TO THIS EFFECT IS ALSO BEING SENT TO YOUR EMPLOYER(s).

So i have also sent an email to my nurse manager. She hasnt responded yet and I wont show up at work tomorrow. LOL.I have been through a lot in life, this is certainly one of the minors will go thru with my positive attitude. I just have to use my critical thinking skills for the upcoming exam. Good Luck.

Thank you & Congrats to you too Saltcity! :yeah: I just dropped you an e-mail lol

Its so funny how people in the same boat like you can motivate you. So far I know three people who didnt make it and we have been calling each other LOL. Its pointless to be sitting and crying over spilled water.

We just have to move on and focus, October is around the corner. For those in Hamilton who did not qualify this time. Mohawkcollege is offering a course especially for those who did not make it for the first time. I will post the details soon for those who might need them.

Good luck to all fellows who are still waiting and Congrats to all who passed.

We will join you soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For now we have to improve on our critical thinking skills.

THANK YOU ladydodo. I searched for this info for countless hours. I truly admire your approach. Your right. Things could be a lot worse than failing this exam. I hope I have your courrage if my results are not what I am hoping for. All the best in your future endeavors....:redpinkhe

Still waiting here, about 1 hour from Ottawa, but some of my Ottawa friends have gotten theirs and so far it looks good!

One more sleepless night!
